So I've been using Sennheiser MX500 for the past couple years and they been good ear buds but after a while the connector becomes funny and shorts out the right side so then I would buy a new pair.
Well I've gone through 3 in about the past 4 years and I'm looking and found out that the model is now discontinued.
So now I'm in the market for new ear bud headphones for under $40 that sound good and are ear buds not in ear headphones.
Any suggestions?

I've been using SkullCandy buds out here. Great bass, good highs, and under $50

I use the Sony MDR-EX71 and would highly recommend them. They are all I will use for the price (paid $50 for them a few years ago). They can be picked up off Ebay for $30 currently. I bought them because of some great reviews they had and I am currently on my second set now (I am rough on the wires).

I second that. They also make a cheaper model (the ones I have) and they are also really good quality and very reliable. I've had them for 2 years now.
