Hello everyone. I will soon be getting a UMF frame, and wish to build a Pnuemag. I was wondering if anyone has made a sleeper pnuemag from this frame? I dislike the idea of having a small lpr hose visible just waiting to be ripped apart by a lucky paintball. Any ideas? Pics would help lots. I was hoping to use a Palmers Micro Rock, don't know iuf that helps or not. Thanks.

Kevin

I have some ideas on how this can be done. The main problem is that the standard 45* grip uses a lower centered mounting screw. PM me and I can give you more information on how i think this can be done.

Here are a few pics of some Chimeras I have done.

Do those CP ASA's have a port on top? How does the male 1/8 NPT thing reach? I've always wondered if there was some trick to this.

No, I disassemble the asa and machine an airport on the top. Then in the case of a Chimera, I machine the bottom of the frame flat so there is a sealing surface and seal with an o-ring that is recessed into the CP asa.

That's what I was noticing, everything fits nicely in the Vert frame :( I was wondering how you did that with the CP reg... I was about to go double check mine...

But the UMF frame is a lot roomier than the Chimera frame, so I imagine it could be done pretty well. My Chimera frame is installed with pneumatics as well. You can't even tell it's a pneu-frame'd marker unless you notice the tiny macroline hose that comes out from the bottom of the frame.

I'm curious now, if there is a way to have the same thing done with the o-ring deal that Loguzzz was talking about... Does anyone actually have pictures of a sleeper UMF? Empyreal? Wait... you said you have a Chimera right? Dang...

Another thing looking at that CP reg, does the LPR screw directly into the ASA? is that what attaches it to the frame? or does it still have the vert mount screws.

The inside of the frame is tapped for the lpr to screw in, The top of the asa is drilled as well and there is an oring between the frame and the asa to create a seal.

Hey guys, instead of a o ring between the frame and the asa, tap them both and get a threaded tube from your local hardware shop. Like this:

I thought so... that's genius. So does anyone know if there is enough room in a UMF to do it?

Here is a picture of a UMF I did for an AO member

Any chance on seeing the bottom of the inside of the frame? it looks to me like there is enough room for an ASA.... or is there not an open space there in the bottom for an attachment such as shown above... Sorry for being such a lame with all the questions, but I just wanting to know...

wetwrks,

I am sure your method works but the way I do it allows simple removal of the asa if desired.
