Is it possible to get most auto mags to chronograph below 220. I have a local field with that requirement. I have a 48/3000 HP output tank
possible, but difficult. you need a weak spring.

I can get mine to go as low as about 180 before the recharge rate starts to noticeably suffer. They're deadly quiet when you lower the velocity like that.
Why does a field put a rule like that? Unless they are using reballs, I don't get it... Same think for another field I've seen on PBN that limited all guns to gravity hoppers. This is so weird...

Even the indoor I've played was 250 FPS. Beyond a lighter spring you may also want a shorter barrel so you can run the valve at higher pressure (at the expense of your efficiency).

perhaps the players at that field were complaining that the balls hurt....
reball here is only 220 fps. I had problems getting mine that low with lvl 10. I actually ended up swaping to lvl 7 for the day. Reballs dont break either.

LOL. Tell them to go play checkers then...

try the red spring in the lvl x kit, you might have to cut some off of it to get it to chrono that low

I've gotten down to 230 fairly consistently - but any lower & the marker just doesn't want to fire....220, huh? That's extremely low for any field, even indoors.

Here are some options from easiest to hardest.
Weaker/shorter bolt spring.
Really short barrel. (like 3")
Devolumize the dump chamber (only really feasible if you have an old valve that the power tube will come off of)
Find some way to restrict the bolt
That's it off the top of my head.
