This is the best elbow you can buy. It may not be the shortest, and the picture's not there, but it'll hold up sum'n good.

You don't really have any options. No elbow is going to be much shorter than another one. Save up your money and buy a ULE body. They come stock with a low rise and have a threaded feedneck if you ever want a clamping one.

i guess all elbows are the same length, but what you should really worry about instead is how long ca they hold up. already went through two plastic PMI ones , but started to use my old ACI, and it has been fine after its second use. to be honest, those cheap plastic ones arent that bad either :D

i know u dun wanna, but i'd suggest choppin the pf down, that's really thing to do without puttin up the cash for a ule. if u have a dremel or a jigsaw, it's pretty easy. for a saw, use cobalt steel blades, i cut the body and feed tube n the blade still looks perfect, cuts fast as well. as for dremel, they have cut-off wheels that can do it, more expensive tho

ProTeam made an indestructible elbow. They probably still do, check it out because mine has lasted me years.

Why not jst using a pipe cutter? Way easier and cuts straighter.

Just to clarify, I don't want a ule ;) . I've already gone through a couple of aci feednecks cause thats what the local place sells.

minimag03 - I'll look out for a ptp elbow.

Questionful, you just tease me with your post cause I have no idea what feedneck your talking about

I found the non adjustable plastic feed necks last a lot longer then the pmi adjustable ones.. which when i used them I would literally go through one every one or two days of play.. Your other option is to get luke to do this mod to your body

do they have pipe cutters that can cut stainless steel? for a reasonable price? but even if they do, for me i dont always wanna cut a straight line, like the tip of my rt which i wanted to angle like the rest of the body.

as for questionful's link, $60 bucks for n elbow?? thats more than half the cost of a ule:/

I don't see why a pipe cutter couldn't cut SS. It's just a question of changing the blade. Probably the blades for the copper pipes will have difficulty cutting it, but i'm positive it's still doable.

The link was glitched, it actually was around $5 for the elbow, for some reason it had the price and description of the clamping feedneck with a picture of the elbow mentioned.

Temps, I forgot luke does that, it would mean that I would have to find someone to swap a PFL for a PFR :ninja: but it is something to consider. Although it looks like it would be a pain to clean if you chopped a ball

No, the one from PPS is $60. Hey, if you want custom to still mean something, you gotta pay the price! :)

I think Luke's weld job would not only be the most durable, but the coolest option. How much does it cost, btw? The link on his site isn't working for me.

There was an announcement of a new aluminum elbow over on MCB (discussion found here (http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/dead-zone/33461-python-aluminum-elbows.html)) by a company called Python (http://www.pythonpaintball.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25) that cost significantly less than the PPS alternatives. The consensus of most on the board was the most cost effective was Allen Paintball's Atomic elbow (http://www.allenpaintball.com/misc.html) with the pipe clamp option. For $5 and a lifetime warranty, they're not the prettiest looking, but you can't beat the price for the last elbow you'll ever buy.

Does anyone have a picture of Allen Painball's Atomic elbow?

WHAT!!!!! I have had the SAME ACI elbow for 6 years. Been dropped, abused, over tightened. It won't break!

Is it the one with the ridges for the gun side? When I came in here I was going to suggest the ACI. If that's not working for you, then damn dude you are screwed.

None of mine have ever had any ridges

I got a couple of VLbows, from back in the day chillin around my house. I have no idea where they came from, but they are made of this flexible plastic stuff (like old revvys). Only problem is both sides are the same size (hopper sized), so they won't stay on the feedtube part. I guess they originally came with an adaptor or something. Maybe I can track down an adapter or make one, because they look like good elbows.

Like I said, not the swoopiest design but functional and can't beat the lifetime warranty.

Yeah, I'm saving up to buy a whole bunch of them (one for each of my markers that needs one, and then another for backup when the first breaks), as well other various bits I need to complete other projects (quick disco sets and whatnot). I always save up for a big bunch of stuff when ordering from the 'net to save on shipping, just no other way to do it.

Not sure if I'm allowed to do that, but there's an atomic elbow on ebay for $6.50 shipped.

I just got my atomic elbow and I have to tell everyone thanks for the advice. It is a very nice elbow. This thing does not need hose clams, it was a very snug fit already.

Python Paintball makes an all aluminum elbow, here is the link http://www.pythonpaintball.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=25 I just ordered their twistlock python kit and they mentioned this elbow to me, which I will be ordering one when I get a little more extra money. It is cheaper than the PPS one, and it looks to be a little bit shorter than the PPS one. Until I get one though I can only go by what I saw and was told about on the phone with Python.
