So I'm looking to get a PGP, but I have a few questions first.
Are there any differences between the PGP2 and the PGP1?
Is there a place to buy them new?
Any known troubles with them?
How efficient are they?
Any places to buy them, period?
Thanks for the help guys.

I had a PGP for a while. I'll answer what I can.

Differences: The PGP2 has a slightly longer barrel and also has fiber optic rear sights. And I'm pretty sure the PGP2 has an updated valve. Other than that they are very similar.
Buying new: Nobody makes them new anymore, but sometimes you'll find one being sold that is like new.
Where to buy: Easiest place to find one is in the BST section at www.mcarterbrown.com
Efficiency: Using an unmodified PGP2, you'll get about 15 good shots from a 12 gram.
Known problems: None that I know of. Except the obvious fact that they are pretty much all brass and therefore heavy.

Hope that helped you some.

pgp2 has a quick change co2 set up, which is awesome. Also less likely to shoot the ends of your fingers with the longer barrel.

Also, with the 2 you don't need a special tool to take the valve out.

I own 5 PGPs (2-PGP2k and 3-PGP) and my PGP2Ks get used more than the PGPs. With the PGP2ks the cocking is much smoother, then there is the quick changer that is standard and the stock RVA really helps at times. But the PGPs just look cooler! :headbang:

Watch ebay, they are running in the $50-60 range... or as stated before, post on MCB in the want to buy section.

Info on the PGPs can be found on PGPog (http://www.pgpog.org/)

Palmer will do all of their mods to both styles of PGP, IIRC.

I had a Palmer'ized PGP2 with all the trimmings at one point. I could get 25+ shots at 280ish per 12g. It was a great gun that I still miss...
