I know I may be answering my own question here but figured why not ask the experts. What kind of problems would I have if I use a rt sear on a classic valve if any? I put a lvl 10 and tried all the shims and what not and the gun still won't fire. There is pressure on the sear pin but it only pushes it so far and still doesnt fire.

I don't have any problem switching a classic valve in for my xvalve on my rt when I need to use CO2, I wouldn't think there should be any problems with it.

Thanks, trying to trouble shoot my problem so I guess that eliminates that theory.

Did you mean using an rt on/off assembly? The sear wouldn't matter much unless you were fine tunning the length of the sear pin.

No, just the sear. I will have to look further.

Have you taken a look at the Level 10 guide?

Maybe you don't have the velocity turned up enough.

this might sound like a dumb question but you do have an rt style rail right? if so it should not be a problem at all.

The valves will work with either sear. The sears go with specific rails. The classic sear goes with the classic rail and the rt sear goes with the rt rail.

If your valve won't fire with the level 10 installed, increase the velocity until it does. Make sure you are using the largest carrier that doesn't leak. Do your testing without any shims installed.

Use the shortest spring to get the gun up and running. Turn up the velocity until the gun fires. Measure the lowest velocity that the gun will fire at. If this value is more than 20fps below the desired velocity, go to the next stiffer spring and do it again. You should be operating the gun at about 20fps above the lowest velocity that the gun will fire at. This will give you good anti chop ability and consistent operation.
