Oh and this is how my Manik-E-Mag is going to look. This isn't finished yet so it's just a preview for you. I have more to do and some details to fine tune, including changing the whole of the top where the sight rail is...

This was designed, based on an Idea from Bill Mills from Warpig, at the World Cup 2001. It was designed live on the AGD stand :) People walking passed saw it developing!

It's what Bill and I wanted so if you don't like it feel free to keep your opinions to yourself :) The battery pack and modules will be machined in a similar style.

That AutoCocker is beautiful manike. When I get a little more money, I'll own more than just one gun too, someday.

manike: A teammate has also a Spearhead ... nice gun. You have number 160 ... this was the exhibition model - am I right?

I want to see the Emag in real. Looks quite good... (better than the Spearhead :D )

is that third pic a heavily modified spyder? Its some sortt of manike concoction. I see a LPR, a Ram, a backblock setup. maybe a 4-way in the grip frame or something? what IS that?

LMAO :) What you describe above is an Autococker and that's what this is. It's a very custom Autococker called the Spearhead. The body is cut and bored out to allow the use of 'chrome' tubes.

Wanna see some more pics of it? here we go

OH DARN ! up to know I've had no interest in the extreme
and now you have to do this (manik-E-mag). that looks just
like the airframe and landing gear parts that I've been
around for the last 14 years.
I love it !
Just one thing, PLEASE get rid of the site rail entirely

The sight rail will be going almost completely apart from a small triangulation which will look like an arrow head maybe... not decided yet. Also it's going to be relieved for an Izon sight to fit right into the body.

These are NOT going to be available on general release. There are only going to be a few made. One for me and one for Bill Mills.

Oops heheh. The Sovereign is a Semi from the UK and is based on the famous Sterling pump gun. It is a fantastic gun. Shoots very well. This gun is a Sovereign II (2) you can tell because it doesn't have a back block at all. The bolt connect to a collar which pulls on the cocking rod to cock the gun.

The X-way is on the side of the grip frame. The ram is part of the bolt. Here are some more pics of it...

It works very similarly to an Autococker.

Question about the Manik-E-Mag: Do you mill all the way through the body under where the barrel screws in, and in the back under the valve? That would be so darn cool.

manike
01-19-2002, 04:27 PM
Gimp, yes :) The basis of the design for a triangulation style came from Bill Mills. I then worked out that by leaving a safety amount of material around the main parts I could break through in certain areas. Under the barrel and behind the sear under the valve are the two areas that are possible.

The 3D shape that you can see is dictated by the internal parts. I'm going to be milling as close to them as possible but leaving material for anno :) The material will be minimum thickness all over.

I am at the moment changing it slightly because if we bore out the body then I can have a different annodised sleeve inside the body which you could see through the windows or you could see the valve through certain windows. You can make out how that would look at the back, but I am also going to extend that affect futher forwards, right to the front of the valve.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD IN HEAVEN!! THAT IS THE SWEETEST, MOST DISGUSTINGLY AWESOME COCKER I HAVE EVER SEEN I MY LIFE!!! Where did you get it, how much did it cost, and do they have anymore?

Crap that emag body would be sooo nice. I wish I knew how to use 3d programs so I could get some of my ideas on the forums. Sketching it would be too hard and using photoshop to depict it would be a nightmare...
