how old are most of you guys?

I am just wondering because last time i went paintballing i saw like 4 little kids with mags and thought it was kind of wierd. (waste of a good gun lol) It seemed to me before I had my mag that only older guys like 20's and 30's had mags. What about you guys?

More and more I see these 10-12 year olds with Angels, Shockers, nice Automags/Autocockers, and what have you. Most of them are back field bunker huggers, and barely even fire their guns.

Hey, it's never a waste of a gun if the guy knows how to use it. I've played with this little kid, had to be about 8, who had a spyder with a boomie, reg, and force II cyclone bolt (one of the best), had to have cost about $600 to put together, but he could PLAY. He knew when to go gung-ho and when to be stealthy, when to advance and when to retreat, when to hold 'em, when to fold em... Uh, sorry. At that point, he'd been playing longer than I had. I've also reffed a group of 9-year-olds, having a birthday party, who surrendered en masse when paintballs started hitting the back bunker they'd been hiding behind the entire game (which at that point was almost a minute). Seen a kid with an angel, revvy, nitro and all, while his dad had an M98. Seen adults who hide in groups of 4 behind back bunkers, wishing their kids, who are playing tape and point, had never convinced em to come, and also vice versa. Some just have a knack for the sport, others take it too damn seriously.

But enough about the paintball public. I'm 19, been playing on-and-off for about 3 1/2 years, whenever I have the money (which is not now http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif)

I have a team called The Headhunters. I made the jump to electro a year ago. I baught a Bob long Defiant with a Hyper Flow 201 88ci 4500psi. Of corse i also baught two scuba tanks. My Mini Mag has a Nitro Duck 68ci 3000 psi. I still use My Mini mag!

Anyway, most of the people who play in eastern washington are either mid twenties to fourties recballers who play in their backyard or ten to twelve year olds whos parents pay for them to go to the local indoor field so that they don't have to deal with them. There are about three teams around here, you might have heard of team evolution. They run one of our local fields. First paintballers that I met that were between 17 and 19 were on that team.

Well, I'm 15, gonna have my license soon. I've played 2-3 years (I'm not sure when I started) and my dad has been playing for 2, he's 43. I started with a tigershark, got an Eagle 68, got a Spyder Compact(partially tricked out), got a Bruizer Outlaw, bought a Tippmann 98 for a backup to the then-****ty Outlaw, fixed the Outlaw, bought my mag w/mods and I use the Outlaw for cold days.

Tunaman..I gotcha beat. Both my wife and I are 42. We play all the time ( can't get a better workout at any price ). The whole family has their own equipment, and the sons have paid for all their own gear. There are some outrageous 'guns in this house !!!
We have one little kid, around 9 years old, at our field, who's parents obviously bought his stuff. This kid is so good, he was voted MVP in the 1999 24 hour game at KC Crusaders, with 642 participants.

Couldn't start with anything less than a Mag. Couldn't start with anything more complicated than a Mag either. Couldn't start with anything uglier than a Eclipse mag.

Experience? Well... I am a beginner. Studied a lot and watched for a few months then got on out there just in the last few months. Also doing it to have something in common with my Son who is 14 years old, almost 15. It's hard to have things in common with you younger guys so, in my case, I do what he wants rather than what I want sometimes. I really, really don't want to lose touch with him at this stage in his life and hey! I am enjoying it. I even enjoy sittin on the tailgate watchin what's going on as much as playing sometimes. I am laid back about it but, hey, that's just me at this point in my life.

Considering everyone else online has replied to this, I was just like "why not." Anyway, I'm 16, getting my driver's soon, which is good since I can lock my gear in my truck cuz everyone I play with tends to "borrow" each other's stuff.I've been playing about 3 years now and have had an automag 4 about 2. ALL of my friends use tippmanns, I'm the only 1 with a mag http://www.automags.org/ubb/frown.gif. 2 guys actually sold their automags and bought m98s! One actually thought his mag froze on nitrogen. The other, well, I'm not gonna get started with him. One 8th grader painted his hopper and mask yellow, and he did a GREAT job let me tell ya! Not everyone I play with is stupid, some of them are pretty good(a little TOO good, one hates getting put out and will wipe if U don't spot him). It's pretty funny though shooting all the little 8th graders when they call paint check. Hey, it's the same thing as shooting someone who is squeegeing their barrel, so don't think we're a bunch of cheaters, they deserve it when the whole team is hiding behind a log. My cousin, though, is an 8th grader and he's the only good one since he actually moves around. I remember when I first started there was only like 4 other people in the whole school playing and the best gun we had was a Stingray. Now, 3 years later after Christmas, half the school has Model 98s.

Im 15, first time I played was almost 2 years ago and have been playing seriously, with my own guns and stuff, for a little more than a year. Started off with a stingray, diamond GT, spitfire, and a compact 2000(I wanted enough guns for me and my friends to play with...they all bought their own. lol) Then my spitfire and Diamond GT broke, and 888 took them back and lost them, and gave me a mag. And then I bought Jared's old Spyder TL from him for a good backup gun. And bought his PG-1 Pro for $20 bux(who would pass up a nice blowback with an expansion chamber and hardline hose for $20 bux!?) Well im selling the PG-1 Pro for $60 friday(I bet Jared is kicking himself now. lol) and yep. Thats it.

I'm 13 years old, and have been playing for ma little more than a year. I loved the game from my first day out there. My parents may have disliked it, but i LOVED it. I do say, I started out with an old Spyder Compact A, and graduated to a Automag just over a month ago, I love it. There are things I love ALOT more though.I like how smooth it is. I don't have to deal with blowback and having to shake the balls into the feed tube.Only thing is, no one in my family will ever play paintball with me.
Can I afford this? Heh, yes and no. I spend most(if not all) my money on paintball, and I say no casue I want to upgrade my 'Mag so bad, but there are other things I wanna buy. Oh Well. Well, I don't get paintball funds form MY mom and dad, so I do all my paintball stuff on my own. (Which is perfectly fine) With this, I've learned to appreciate the things I get more.

27 been playing on/off for about 10 years. The college years were a little scarce. I don't care when little kids have nice guns. If they didn't have daddy buy them, then how would all the manufacturers keep'm hooked. Start them young and they'll eventually get good. Besides, there's nothing like telling a group of like 8 12 year olds, who have been hunkered down behind some trees, to lay some cover fire for you. Then you do use up all your paint. Or you get shot out, one of the two.

Well, I'm 21, been playing since.. hmm, I think 1997, maybe 96. I started out with the rental Tippman Prolites, and never even thought of buying my own gun back then. Eventually I got sick of rental crap, so I bought a Spyder TL+ in around May of 2000. Switched to a MiniMag in Decemeber. I still love that Spyder, but I use my Mag more. Can't beat the mag.

Anyway, I'm babbling.

Been into the sport for about 2.5 years. First marker was a Stingray 2, then a TL+. I recieved an Automag P/F as a Christmas present, but later gathered up some unused possessions including the 'mag and auctioned them off. With my earnings, I bought an E-Micromag setup (although the nitro tank was a birthday present I have to admit http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif).

Originally going to get a 'Cocker or Angel, I'm glad I came back to AGD. The help and commitment given to the players are the best I have seen in the paintball industry.

I'm 27, and I'm a Male Gigolo, so my sugar-mamas pay for all of my gear. I have 5 Emags (Blue, Red, Purple, Yellow, and Splash anodized, with matching Warp Feeds).

During games I can connect telephatically with any back-field bunker-hugging slacker on the opposing team, and can send out positive brain waves that inspire them to suicidal frontal rushes.

Sometimes I leave my Emags at home, and take my matching Twin Angels out to the field; they are called Angelina (Jolie) and Jennifer (Lopez). Angelina is milled in intricate patterns, and Jennifer is a little heavy in the rear due to the 114ci and the Warp, but is still stunning.

I like the Warp Feeds so that I can shoot my guns sideways, gangsta-style!

IMO , I think paintball is a stepping game.. I started with a Spyder, then as I grew more informed , i got a better gun and so on till I found a gun that WORKED for me , instead of a flashy gun... These kids with angels cannot possibly know anything about the technical point of paintball, they are all hype , and I think paintball is starting to suffer cause of it. Every time these kids get "high end" markers , the skip the paintball evolution, soon they will skip rec ball and want to just play flashy tourney...

I'm not saying tourneys are bad.. just think it's something that should be worked towards, same goes with markers.. if you get a angel right off the bat , you skip the fundamentals that are required to appreciate paintball.

Well I'm 13,but I saved up all summer last year to buy my mag.It does really suck when kids my age have their parents buy all their gear, and they dont even know how to play and they are scared.I have been playing since I was 9 years old.My first gun was a Mag......Pump mag....I miss that gun:(

I am 14 going on 15, you are 13 going on 14. :) Yeah I'm 14 but regarding little kids most of them are little bunker huggers, except for this one kid with dreads at my field he has a Mag and a Impulse and he can kick some @$$. I'll never forget when I played against him. He was just all *piffpiffpiffpiff* and we're all like ahh crap, and he's like *piffpiffpiff* and then he took out are whole team and I was like WO-AAH It was cool

Why is it so much of a big deal that you worked for your stuff? I worked for almost every last cent of my stuff and you don't hear be braggin about it! If you saved up for it, you almost always appreciate it much more! Trust me, alot of spoiled PBall players aren't as interested in the sport! That's because their friends got markers so they asked their parents for top of the line guns.

My roomate is the one that got me in it, (Warlord) he has really been a big help in making my paintball experience enjoyable... he has been with the bushmen for alot of years and I too should become a team member soon...

I dont understand why people whine "I saw this 10year old with a Angel and no skills". If they were so horrid, you'll have no problem giving them the beatdown.

At Road2Aruba, there were 4 younger gun teams (2 of my teams, 14-16y/os, a team full of 12-13 y/os and a team that had 18-20 y/os)

We were the only young gun team to make semis (better yet, both our teams made semis).

Why? We played like we meant it and practised before the tourney so we knew what the heck we were doing.

In my 4 years of playing, I've played people from 10 years old to 40. And skill levels from newbie to people that've playing for 10-13years and were sponsored by Adrenalin for Angels....I found one thing out : as long as you get a angle on them, they all go down the same way, in a flurry of paint from me. The only differance is how big/small the target I get is.

I also see the 13 and 14 year old kids with somewhat expensive guns who won't come out from behind the bunkers.
It makes me chuckle, because when I was 14, pain was not much of a deterent from anything.
When I get tagged now in one of my older and fleshyer areas, it hurts like hell.
