So, BT is releasing a scenario version of the Invert Mini. finally an electrical scenario marker not based on a smartparts design or the kick happy spyder and tippmans. (correct me if im wrong)

rumor'd to be in the $400 range

http://www.btpaintball.com/tm_7.php

TM-7

The BT TM-7™ utilizes Mini™ Technology to inflict maximum force from a marker of minimal size. Don’t be fooled by the size of the TM-7’s exterior; it can hang with the big boys and is by no means a lightweight. Once you hold one and pull the trigger, you won’t want to put it down. Its lightweight, yet durable construction is perfect for close quarters or long-range combat. This is the marker that just may have people rethink the way they looked at Mil-Sim paintball markers.

So BT licensed the Mini and threw a shroud over it?

Hmmmm.

Too small IMO to be milsim. Maybe I'm wrong but who knows. I like my x7 because it's big and feels like a real rifle.

It's based around a sub-machine gun, it's suppose to be small and compact.

I like it.

Very cool, but these same specs are floating around all over the web and a few are noticeably absent.

-Eyes?
-Max rof?
-can it run on co2?
-price?

Just my $.02. If it is reasonable enough I will check it out for sure.

Well, a lot of kids don't know what a real rifle feels like anyway. It looks like a nice stab at the market to me. In a summer scenario around here, I won't use anything that doesn't help get paint down range. I would count the light weight as a feature, as long as the body will hold up. You would think BT should be able to do that.

I guess the electronics are in the back?

i hate the commercial and I hate the little writeup about the marker...but surprisingly I like the gun....cant wait for a real price and some reviews.

my main concern just looking at it is the stock/body strength and how big of a PITA it is to tear down

Mini technology inside would lead me to believe the following:
Eyes: Yes
Max ROF: 20 BPs w/ stock board, ramping and other mini available modes. I'm assuming they'll be using the existing stock mini board...
cO2?: Nope Air only.
Price: probably not too bad with the price point of the mini I couldn't see it heading much higher than the $350 point.

Kudos to BT. Finally a milsim gun that isn't a $500 blowback.

im assuming since they said MINI technology that it should be a MINI inside a milsim shroud. so if it is, eyes = yes, max rof = depends on board, co2 = no. but then again thats just speculation. lets wait for some more info :)

as for price. i would personally assume this would be around $400 reason being is that the MINI is $325. add in the milsim shroud and stock and that looks to be about a decent price. but again, we shall see.

** also looking at gun reviews on Pbnation. it looks like BT listed there TM7 with a retail price of $399

You never know, and cannot assume anything. Consider how Smart Parts "Dumbed Down" the Ion and made it into the SP1.

I like the idea, i was actually thinking the only thing i don't like about the mini is you can't customize it with different bodies like the mag, so at least this is a step in that direction.

Great idea on their part imo.

And a single trigger electro at that. I always thought that was pretty cool, but you never see any.

Oh I agree. A milsim electro MUST have a single trigger or at least an option to put one on! I think this will be the first time a milsim gun was actually worth $400. Tac-One's aside of course.

All they need to do is have an ammo box rigged up like some guys have done with airsoft markers and I would honestly declare it the best idea I've heard in years.

might be sweet with a rip clip:

At least it has a mini bottom reg and a board (modes), it must be real close.

I'm think it seems awkward... So I have a tank stuck to the bottom of the frame, that can't be moved easily, and a stock...

I guess you could plug in a remote adapter and run it to the backpack, but that seems uncomfortable as well...

It might sell to people who bought Minis and then sold them because they were "too small and light".

I feel guilty for thinking something so mainstream is so awesome. I got so used to the niche-ness of mags. :(

horrible

looks like they took somehting good, made it cheap..er and well went with the idea

the feednecks on bt's snap off and break easy with a drop, a single trigger? i understand its a scenario gun but come on , a mini platforms a bit excessive for a single triggered semi

the collapseable foregrip does look nice and better than whats on the bt's, but the foregrip looks like the same nasty plastic

am i missing anything?

the asa looks out of place and awkward, and the inability to use co2 put this close to the same price range as the mini once all is said and done.

though you may beable to get away with a non force loader saving a bit of $

they should have kept the lines btwn companies seperated as well as the markets, i think they are oging to hurt themselves if they start crossbreeding things like this more and more

though kee may have found their "ion " platform that they can dress up and sell as 5 different things.

Slap on a rip clip and run a remote, and I think we have a contender

Honestly for those that know me, they know i'm not a scenario guy, hell i'm not even a woods guy.

But for some reason, the whole sub-machine gun thing appeals to me. I can totally see putting a q-loader on the side of it on the picatinny, and running a remote.

That'd be fun even to play xball with. You dont need a double trigger for 15bps ramp....

I like the looks. Will they be selling body kits as well?

I think it looks great. The closest any manufacturer has come to producing a realistic mil-sim marker. Forget about the asa, I would replace it with a fill nipple mounted in its place. And possibly put a mock magazine over it all. I don’t see too many mil-sims that use a bottle rather than run remote.
Just compare it to the HK MP7:

I think you just hit on a fantastic idea Wunder.

The Mini Reg is the #1 reason I sold my minis. The marker itself is a good design, if a bit small, but the regs are inconsistant (or the two I had were anyway.)

Replacing the reg with a 45* fitting and fill nipple, and hiding those inside a magazine would turn this into a real winner when coupled with a palmers reg and remote line.

-price? starting at $425

it also will be availible with a double trigger too. think the board comes with 3 modes, once again wasn't paying attention (rof and modes not my thing). well balance i will say. compact for close combat too. worth looking into. i will say BT has really stepped upped their game. with spec ops slowly dwidling their market share, BT has done it with their line up from softgoods to hardgoods. i was really impressed with the display they had out at D-Day
