I just picked up a 68 Automag cassic on Ebay, and i've never used the old-skool guns before. would a ULE trigger pull kit work on this gun?

It will work, but if you're not using HPA it will let you outshoot your gun. And if you plan on shooting really fast, you should get the Level 10 bolt system, it eliminates chops.
If you're completely new to mags you should check these links out:

Tom Kaye tells you everything you need to know about mags. This video is as old as I am! :)

It's the same thing as any other mag, except the valve is slower and heavier. If you want to put an expansion chamber on it, just screw it into the VA, which mounts on the rail. You should watch those videos, they'll explain everything. They're from 1992, so they should cover your old school questions pretty well. ;)

ule trigger + classic valve will probably result in alot of chuffing and short stroking , a rt on/off might be a better option.

a ule trigger is not recommended for a classic valve. the smaller head on the on/off makes the trigger return softer. it will greatly increase the chances of short stroking. It can be done and some have, but just be aware of the risk.

With HPA you don't need an expansion chamber, unless you just want one.

They add more weight than a gas thru grip and you've already stepped up the weight with the stainless valve. My old expansion chamber worked great, but I was happy to finally pull it off when I changed over to HPA.
