let me guess, you stank of patchouli and nag champa for many a year too ;) i just cut off my dreads a few years back, they are lying around here somewhere...waist length and purple, the only way to go.

btw, 'duck squeezer' is a reference to hippies in a darn fine book by Neal Stephenson, "Zodiac"

Nope this was way before Pachouli oil and Dreadlocks (well...perhaps there was some of that but not all did that). No purple hair by the way. Just plain old long hair, flowers and love beads baby! Most we ever did was to braid the hair. Did listen to Bob Marley though!

They dig it man...they dig it. They cannot help but stroke and fondle it...no you dirty minded little monkeys...the Hair that is. It's kind of odd realy. You are however stereotyped immediately. I wore mine short in High School and College as I was ROTC and for most of my professional life it was short. Until five years ago when I felt I was secure enough to not care. It surprised me the reactions I now get as I still think of myself as short haired most of the time. People try to buy drugs off me! Funny. It's been a good lesson for me that way.
