...or keep him. He is 36 but can still produce. Jason Bay, one of the rumored players to be traded for, is comparable in stats right now but it's hard to beat Manny and his bat in a big game. More anguish for us Sox fans.

Screw that. I'll be pissed if they trade him.

He's a great player, and it doesn't hurt that he's hilarious on and off the field as well.

Baseball sucks :p

Baseball is America's pass time, but that's exactly what you do, pass the time till football season starts.

I personally like having Manny and always have. I don't want to see him leave. He is one of the best right handed hitters of all time. Wasn't it just three years ago that the Sox put him on waivers and nobody bit.

Wow...to the Dodgers?! I didn't actually think they would trade him.

Happy to see him out of the AL East.

And happy to have Nady, Pudge, and Marte :)

Yeah, Manny was a Yankee killer.

I go to admit, the Yanks made some good moves, not to mention they are playing really well right now. I still have to hate them, though :)

Its going to be freakin hilarious when the rays win the east and either the twins or the chisox get the wild card.

He's gone, I'm so happy. I've always been scared of Manny. Now, if Ortiz can re-injure his knee and wrist, we're good.

Without Manny would you pitch to Ortiz in the clutch, with him representing the winning run?

I'm not to happy about it either. Manny could really make a pitcher clinch up.

Depends. Whats the lead? How many runners on? If runners are on, who are they? Who's batting behind Ortiz?

None of that matters. There arent going to be any clutch situations, because the sox arent making the playoffs.

psh. manny who? My redlegs traded Griffey!!! honestly, I don't care that his numbers weren't that great this year. It was always fun to be around an all century player who has played this game the right way..

"As long as I have fun playing, the stats will take care of themselves." - Jr.

Thanks for the memories Griffey!

But seriously, who cares about manny, the Angels just swept the Rsox twice! plus Tiexera now??? 100+ wins for them this year

Until they implement a Salary Cap to level the playing field, professional baseball is and will remain a joke.
