Just thought I'd post some pics of the work that nu_metal and maniacmechanic did for me.

And here's kind of a view from the operator's seat:

maniacmechanic did the milling on the rail for me; it already had the internals milled out, but I had the left side milled flat, and the rear wing on the right side milled back as well. What's left is the wing for the sight rail on the right side, which still allows me to use a sight rail if I use some washers or shims on the left side. The front grip screw holes are also left in tact; I'm planning to make some sort of camera mount that attaches to those holes.

nu_metal then anodized both the ULE body (which was previously blue) and the rail back to black.

Both these guys do great work, and they're good about communicating and getting the details right.

Uhhh... apart from that, here are the frequent answers:

I think the thing is about 5.2 lbs total with air, but without paint.
I get about 200 shots off that tank. More than enough to finish like 99% of the recball games that I play.
I don't switch hands to shoot left; I use the warp-left method.
I don't really use a foregrip; I actually hold the gun by the tank regulator with the other hand. Yes, it's a bit unusual, but it actually works pretty well.

I like the concept you got going on .this is sort of how i had my Q/rt set up ,but ,....
IMHO ,..and its just my opinion ,i would get those hose clamps off their eventually and make and aluminum flat bracket going straight back from the bottom of the grip frame to the Q/bracket -it will be safer ,look better, and be just as tight as a set up your after now :ninja:

thanks for the kudo's :headbang:

The q-pod and socket aren't really that heavy, and the hose clamps aren't that tight either. They're actually there to keep that metal piece against that white double-sided sticky tape, which is really doing most of the work.

I'll have to think about the flat bracket; the worst bit about mounting it on the tank is the fact that... I can't change the tank. Sometimes I like to switch out to a classic valve with a CO2 tank.

So... how do you hold your marker in this setup?

I have a body and rail in the mail from maniacmechanic, freshly milled and annoed.

Looking at this, the question of why he kept saying Nu_Anno instead of New Anno is answered. Now I can die.

arm straight up to the battpack there is plenty of room for hand between pack and pod
