What is your favorite mech semi marker?

Mine has to be a cocker. Just all of the things moving together to make it work always fascinated me.
I have a lot of respect for the Tippy 98 as well, and of course like shooting mags a lot, but just something about those cockers clanking and shooting....

Cockers are just fun (when they work) that pop-click-clack just can't be beat. And cockers are fun off the field too because there is always something you can do to it/with it...great tinkering marker.

Easy, my Minimag. It's a tiny little package that puts paint exactly where I want it every time I squeeze the trigger. I rarely (if ever) find myself going "damn, I should have made that shot."

I've tried other trigger frames and the like, but there's just something that always appealed to me about the Minimag's short, crisp snap of a trigger pull, and the stock frame just points so naturally in my hand.

My Orracle. That thing is so much fun. Like an normal gun that's inside out. It's been super reliable for me. And it's green (so doesn't matter). I do miss the super crisp trigger feel of my classic valved mag. The backblock is just too mesmerizing. In big games I lend the emag and PM5 out and use the Orracle.

Although cockers are really fun to play with, I'll have to go with my tac-one because it's so much more accurate and reliable.

My favorite mech is one of my auto response mags.
I just love being asked "is that electric?"

But then I also pine for my old cocker with the slider trigger. It was a joy to shoot.

Classic/minimag, hands down. With cockers i have to worry about rollouts, tippmanns i can't hit the broad side of a barn with, and with a classic valve i can also use it on COČ.

Classic mag with a crown point barrel. No movement, just "ping-ping-ping."

Ha! Reminds me of an experience with my ReTro Mini:

Ref: "Is that full auto?"
Me: "Uh, No."
Ref: "Oh, just three shot burst, huh?"
Me: "it's semi, purely mechanical."

classic mag.

I love the noise. last place I was out the kids said it sounded like a 50cal... clang.. clang.. clang..clang... SWEET.

Cockers are cool and all... but I never got past the short stroke thing.

There isnt. I've only used it for 4 games.
Been playing mostly pump, when I can play that is.
It uses almost as much paint as my FSP.

I like my pneumag slightly more than my AKA Revenge V2 (slider). While I do love to get me some backblock mojo my mag is an animal.

even though i have a couple of RT mags, i still prefer my Classics over anything else. they are just sooo simple so use, and the crisp trigger pull on them makes for a solid mechanical gun. Autocockers are fun to use too, but i always get pinched by the cocking rod :tard:

Cockers are cool just cause I like the moving parts. My wife loves hers.

However, I detest messing with them. Yea, they're fun to work on, but when you want it to work, you want it to work.

Call me strange, but I have a special place in my heart for the VM68. Matbe it's that tank directly under the barrel, but I just find them cool.

My true favorite is the 68 Classic. Those turned me onto mags and I've since coaxed two other friends into picking then up as thier first guns.

I currently shoot an all mech X-valved mag with lots of cosmetic upgrades and RT like nobody's buisness, but the true kings to me will always be the 68 Classic.

Classic mag:
Stainless Powerfeed Body
Classic Rail
AIR Valve with L7 Foamieless (brushed free of markings)
CF Mag frame with rubber grips
Expansion Chamber
Angled bottom ASA with a 16oz hanging off the back.

If I had to pick one mech:

Now that I look back... I'm extremely upset I sold both of them.

You, sir, have excellent taste.

Mini-Length P-Blocked AKA Merlin Body
AKA Tornado Valve
AKA Sear & Trigger Plates
AKA Lightning Bolt
AKA Bolt Pin
AKA Pump Rod
Full Palmers Front End (Micro-Rock, Quickswitch, Quicker Ram)
FBM "Hooker" Feedneck
Shocktech Trigger Pants
Benchmark Frame
CP 2k7 Mini-Rail & On/Off ASA
Stabilizer
Shrink-Wrapped SS Hose w/QD
Dye Sticky 3s
ANS Cocking Rod
TASO Beaver Tail

Dust Black Anodizing by the now-defunct PBModShop. Jared from DC tapped the feedneck threads (very early Merlin Body, wasn't threaded).

It's easily the smoothest shooting mech I own, but my Automags are faster.

Well I am really now with mags.. but I just love my tac-One.
The only other ones I fired are my A5 and my Tac-8.. love the Tac-8 also.. but its nothing compared to a tac-One IMO :)

my favorite mechanical was the Mag/ule/umf that i traded with Punkncat.....it had the greatest little trigger pull/feel to it, and did not have the ult...my classic/double trigger mag is great, but not like that other mag i had...i will get another one again someday....

Gotta be a Cocker. There's nothing like a well set up right-feed slider.

Once you get some good regs on them, they are very reliable.

My old 1994 Cocker arrived with an expansion chamber (no inline) and a "Sledgehammer" LPR. Apparently, sledgehammer was what you should do to it, because it didn't regulate worth a crap. In that config, it wasn't very reliable at all.

I put on a Palmer Stabilizer and Rock (fullsize) and never had a problem with it again. That's my right-feed slider and I still have it.
