How hard is it to mill a rail into, say, an old drop?

I have an old AA Raptor Rex cradle/drop which I would like to cut down; I want to cut the drop portion of it off. There's enough metal on it to put a dovetail on it so I can use it with a normal rail drop, but how hard is that? Is there anybody that can do stuff like that?

It kind of looks like this:

Mcmaster.com

2984A16
Dovetail Cutter HSS, 45 Degree Angle, 1/2" Cutter Diameter
In stock at $41.92 Each

Get one of them... (that is if it is 1/2", thats a guess)

And then find someone with a mill.

Honestly your best bet is to just buy a new one, unless its something really special.

EDIT:
2984A21
Dovetail Cutter HSS, 60 Degree Angle, 1/2" Cutter Diameter
In stock at $41.92 Each

I think you'll find it's a 60º cutter needed to cut the dovetail.

This is for an old AA Raptor Rex cradle... so I don't think new ones even exist.

Looking closer at the dovetail, I think that the dovetail angle might actually be 60 degrees. On the bright side, it looks like milling one of these is easier than I thought.
