I'm trying to decide between the two and I was wondering if anyone could help me with some advice and comparisons between the two. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

the Minimag is only $300 right now, which is a great deal, plus, it comes with a vertical adaptor, a barrel that is actually pretty damn good for stock, milled/vented body, and powerfeed. Other than that they are the same, and I'm not really sure how much automags are now with all the packages out there. Look around, and find the cheapest deal automag or minimag, unless you really want the vented body.

Thanks for the input. So there are no performance issues?? I don't mind paying more as long as there is something substantial to gain.

They have got the same valve, im pretty sure. Also I think the mini is heavier than the classic.

Minimags have also a 4-star valve; Automags have only one star.
And yes, the Mini is a little bit heavier
And I think, the Mini looks better ;) but thatīs only my opinion ;)
Performance is both the same.

The only difference between a Minimag and a 68 Automag is the Minimag comes with the 'vented' body, a vertical ASA, and instead of the valve saying "68 AutomaG" it says "MimimaG". If im not mistaken the MinimaG is now only available in powerfeed, or vert feed that otehr companies have produced, and come stock with the molded grips, and of course the 4 warrenty stars.

Thanks again for the info, if it really doesn't matter much the mini's seem like a better deal.

One other little plus for the mini, in addition to the verticle adapter it comes with stainless braided line from the adapter to the valve and a really good quick disconnect. That's another $25-$30 you don't have to spend separately. I also think the vented body looks cool.
