ok well i just recently aqcuired a tac 8 to use with my tac 1 (i love tac things)

my only issue was that my e-tac has a maxflo on it and i need a way to run a constant air setup to the tac 8 because i do not wish to spend money on 12 grams so i needed to allow the maxflo to be attached to a remote line.

This was not the issue, the main issue is that the nipple for the remote line would have to attach to the maxflo directly and could not be sealed off when not in use (aka when i want to use only the etac). Then i stumbled accross the staubli QD setup aka the proline proconnect

I aquired 2 (one staubli and 1 proline) and they function exactly the same but look slightly different (although 1 seems to eject the line a bit more than the other)

This would seem to fix all my problems, however... the new issue is that the female end would need to go onto the maxflo to prevent air from escaping when no remote is attached, and the male would have to attach to the male end of the remote (where the tank adapter had been)

so i took a 90* adapter from 32 degrees paintball and attached a male nipple (male to male adapter) so i could then attach the female end of the staubli to it.

I then took a female coupling (female to female adapter) and used that to attach the male plug end of the staubli to the male end of the remote.

i used a swivel 90 adapter for ease of movement and ability to tuck the staubli next to the maxflo if unneeded but here is what she looks like now that i am done

only thing is that you can only get 8paintball total fired from the t8 and then you would need to field reload the mag.

yea i only use the tac as a back up or if i need to shoot through a really small space.

but i have a drop leg with 8 round tubes so i can reload the mag quickly after im not in "danger" anymore

wow... thats actually a really awesome idea... so it's like you have your own fill station attached to your tac1... haha nice

more or less haha and i have been a member of UMS for a long time and i know that they sure do love their 3 ways and using 2 remotes for their tac and main marker... however since i love the on gun feel of a tank and the maxflo i needed an alternate idea

and this served very well

ok so if you had a quick disconnect on the pistol that would hold pressure could you just charge that and shoot the clip then have another charged and loaded clip ready. would that work?

more or less yes... except the only thing with that is that there will be a lot of connections and you would have a 3.5" (roughly) extension coming off your magazine

this is because the constant air setup for the tiberius does not allow you to remove the fill nipple from the tube it is one solid piece of metal which just means that for every magazine you use you would need to take a female ended standard QD and attach a male nipple (male to male adapter) and then attach the female end of the staubli to it. Which isnt a problem and i garauntee it would work... however, since the tube is so skinny i wouldnt doubt that you would get only about 8 shots out of it and be done till you recharge.

But since you sparked the idea in me i am going to work on coming up wih something similar.

Anyone know who makes 12 gram dummies? i believe noxx does, which is perfect because i could then use this to make a rechargable adapter that would allow for the full 30 shots.

(they would be expensive though due to the cost of staubli's and 12 gram dummies now-a-days) total cost would be roughly $60 for the whole adapter (unless i can work out deals with noxx and the staubli company.

But beware, the days of 12 grams in a tac 8 are ending and the days of the rap4 internal air style is coming!

I use to love playing with just my splatmaster, then my PT Extreme, and finally with my Tac8.... but please explain to me the benefit of using two markers at once. I could understand 2 tac 8s, but an automag and a tac?

Well I use the tac 8 along with my mag for 3 reasons,

1.) Should my mag ever break down onboth mech mode AND electro I could pull this out to keep going for a few shots.

2.)if I ever were reloading and was about to get bunkered I would have 8 shots (I always reload with my tac in my hand along with the pod

And 3.) I use it for when I need to shoot over a bunker without having to hold up about 10 pounds of emag or to shoot around an obstacle/when im running to another bunker because its a lot easier to run with a tac 8 being aimed than to hold the qloaded emag with 1 hand and be able to aim

I got a pretty well made 12 gram dummy off of ebay a while back... let me see if I can find one...

that isn't the exact kind I got, but it looks to be well made (and it isnt just a drilled 12 gram)
