Ive had this Emag siting around not being used for a good 3 or 4 years when they closed down my Local field. Started playing again couple months back and decide to do something with it. Debating if I should sell it or keep it and tinker with it but seems like upgrading mags is on the expensive side so probably leaning towards selling.

As of right now it has some issues not surprising. When you gas it up and fire bolt sticks foward and leaks air out barrel. The software is 1.31, and the battery needs to be replaced. Also the Manual/Elect mode switch falls off so need replacement for that as well as a better on/off pin. Using a wire tie right now to break connection.....So any advice would be great and if i do sell it should i try and repair it and sell it or just sell it.

As for the bolt stick that can be fixed with a good tune up and some oil. replacing the battery isnt much of a problem either. Theres no real reason to sell these things still keep up with the the guns of today. unless your a girlyman and think its too heavy :p

Heres what you want for the battery replacement

And go check out page on how to tune the lvl 10 and youll be set to paint some faces again :)

So repair wise iam looking at 70 for the Battery and least 20 for the o-ring kit. Now my Emag doesnt have a level 10 so is the tune up for lvl 10 page you mentioned the same as what it comes with?

Ive already been back in the game for a couple months now and got my self a DM7. ANd while that was fun Paintball doesnt seem to me those 3 or 4 years go. So iam leaning towards selling this emag and my 04 Angel speed and puting it towards geting my self a pump cocker and most likely a mech mag rather electro.

well if thats the way your leaning, then id just sell it as is and let people know what the issues are. you can still get a good chunk of change for it. besides the batter its not broken just needs some tlc.

If you decide to keep it I would put a ULE body on it. Well unless you like having your hopper up in the clouds.

You could probably pick up a used ULE here and sell you center feed and barrels to make cost easier. Plus since the ULE is cocker threaded and you can find all kinds of used cocker barrells.

Keep the lowers, sell the upper parts (everything above the rail). Fix the lowers you have, purchase a body of your choice and an X-valve and rip face! :D

Or else someone will fix it up and have a awesome mag ;)

But, really its up to you

Look at it like this.

If you sold it you would be looking at around $400ish for it. The problems that you disclosed are minor and will be no issue at all for someone that knows those markers well to fix. Considering how many of the users of this forum hoard and own multiples, chances are good that someone will buy it, already having the parts and ability to fix it. It will end up costing them near nothing.
Going under the assumption that you know almost nothing about it. You would already have some of the issues resolved if you did...You are going to have to purchase a battery. You will have to pack it up and ship it out to someone to fix, or take the time to learn how to do it yourself, maybe a flash to the Xmod if you want it to ramp. You will be out $100+ and time on it. On top of that, to modernize it even more you could have it milled, add a ULE body, get a nice cocker barrel, etc. unless of course you just like the weight of it now.

So what it comes down to is, do you like it enough to spend the money on it just to get it working? Do you not care that it weighs what it does and otherwise happy with it?
Or
Could you take that $400ish and spend it on something you know you would like better?

If you want a Mech Mag, then sell the lowers and keep the uppers. Use the money to buy and Xvavle and intelli frame. You should be able to pick up a cocker pretty cheap. The bottom fell out of th cocker market and great cockers can be had for CHEAP. Pump kits are also on th cheap side.

Thanks for the help. Ill probably just sell it or just sell the lowers. And look towards learning to build something like the mech mags or pneumag ive been. Some of the most amazing looking guns ive seen yet.
