This ROW growth is in the order of 10 -15 % but is nowhere near enough to compensate for the US decline and so the future looks a little bleak.

Sorry to be a bit of a doomsayer but that's the state of play as I see it ..

PGi .. the best magazine that ever graced our beloved sport of paintball .... it's a sad indictment of paintball's present financial predicament that we had to call it a day because without a responsible and independant press, we have nothing.

And with no true or real Governing body we have less then nothing :(

PGi was easily the best mag on the shelf for paintball.

I am curious as to whether they stopped publication because of the dowturn in the industry as a whole as seems to be stated, or because they couldn't sell magazines?

Perhaps I just didn't understand it correctly, but it was as if they decided to quit simply because of the US economic dowturn and resulting decline in US paintball. Even by thier own admission the Euro and worldwide paintball market is getting better.

I did not read the publication. I have found most paintball magazines to be shallow hype filled rags for advertizers. Perhaps this particular publication was as they claimed, different. I do not know.

A lot of companies, especially in the publishing industry, are literally gutting themselves because they are so terrified of the economy.

I stopped reading them years ago when I sent them a letter to the editor that was published, and they gave out my address to anyone who asked for it. I got contacted by several people from places like Brazil and England. It kinda pissed me off they had no respect for simple privacy.
