Well... while not technically a "gun", my first paintball marker was a good ol' fashioned wrist-rocket. Seeing as how I came home painted, my dad bought my a Splatmaster Rapide and I quickly picked up a second one along with 45-round hoppers to replace the 20-shot spindle clips. And this was way before anyone in the states had heard of John Woo or Chow Yun-Fat. Wow, take about fast-firing! I could easily pull .25-.5 shots per second with those bad boys :)

Hasta,

Matt

1991 - PGP pistol (not to replace the Rebel)
1993 - 68 Automag Level 7 (state of the art and still rocks today)
1993 - traccer pump (My rebel wore out due to high usage. Bought to have a gun for back-up in case semi-auto fails. Never used it. Automags never fail.)

Once you go automag you almost never turn back. After nine years, mine still works every time I take it to the field.

First gun..Stingray II, don't buy unless you need to work out your trigger finger, the pull was enough to choke a horse.

Next I found a great deal on a 68 'Mag P/F with nitro, played with that for a few, now I'm selling it on Ebay, with some JT equipment to buy a 'Geddon tank..

Most recent purchase was my brand new Mini-mag, with Warp feed.. Hrm, have to check the warp though, I got it near it's inception so I don't have this whole generation 4 stuff.. whatever that means, I put it down for the winter..
But finally summer is back, time to get a new tank, and break the mini in some more.. :D

stingray 2, i still pull it out of the closet and play with it everynow and then. ported and polished barrels, Venturi bolt(those were big back then), polished hammer tube, penny's behind the donkey, trigger job....i got tons more i could share. Its a great gun to really test your skills with, and its always fun comming up with new things to do to it.

Well, first I played with was the Splatmaster Rapide, boy did that thing suck. On the other hand, if you wanted to shoot around corners it was fairly accurate... My first buy was the Tippmann .68 Carbine when it was the "hot new thing" in mid-grade semis.

When i was 12, my parents wouldn't let me get a gun, so i made one with spyder parts, blowtorch, duct tape, and a plastic easter egg from a display case ( This became my loader) The gun was alright, a little strange. The tank was mounted under the barrel.
If you wanna trully know ur gun, build it!

Upgrading now the Predator with a racegun grip, and the Emag to the C&C extreme.

My first gun was actually a Tippman Pro-lite. However, shortly thereafter I acquired two of these (http://www.actionsports-paintball.com/assassinator.html) with which I was able to make 1 functional gun which I have played Stock with. Someone incorrectly called these "Warpigs" but they are in fact much more "ancient."

http://www.actionsports-paintball.com/May03-16.jpg

The functional gun I do use was put together from two original Nelson 007 Pump pistols, 1 with the Assassinator upgrade shown here. This allowed it to run on constant air and use a direct feed system, as opposed to using 12 gram powerlets which originally fit into the hand grip.

i got suckered into a stingray before i knew a single thing about paintball. the scary thing is, i actually tried playing with it. after it wouldn't pass chrono because it's velocity would go from 150-350 and it broke every other ball, i decided to ditch that piece of crap (my friend's dad ended up buyin a joker). then i got a 98, which served me well :D .
damn brass eagle...

1. Tigershark (no ball detent, can't crono worth a darn, grrr...)
2.98 (wore every part down to dust after 6 months)
3. tricked 68 Classic ( I'll never use anything else)

The only thing I'd sell my Classic for is a million dollars. Then I could buy alot of tricked Classics.....

Model 98
2000 Cocker (bought just to sell)
Spyder Shutter (traded, he included around as much cash as i bought cocker for)
RT #69
99 RF Cocker - Palmers pnues

Then it gets a little shaky...
I can tell you that after that I traded a Tippman 98 and a old phantom for a Retro Minimag. I then traded the retro for a classic valve and some other stuff, and traded that classic mag for a Black dragun, and a RT model 98. I had some other gun back then I traded for a Black dragun...nitro tank, and like 130 bucks. Oh ya, that was the 99 cocker (gun i foolishly gave up RT#69 for)

Oh ya, had a model 83 sometime back then too :) And another Black dragun...not sure where it came from :)

Then in that still not too sure about time period I got another old phantom...I traded it and some nicer parts for an impy. Sold that impy a little while ago :)

Since then I have owned:

2 classic mags, 1 retro mag, another Imp, a shocker, 2 Angel LCDs, an Eclipse angel LED, ummm....A PGP :).

Right now I'm in the process of trading the 2nd Angel LCD for a micro emag, and I'm putting together a sidearm that will be my 3rd classic mag in this period recent enough for me to remember.

So right now i have a classic mag, a Retro mag, a PGP, a sidearm mag in the works and a Angel LCD on the way out...with a RT pro and a Micro E on the way in.

Ya....conclusion is, In the last year and a half I've had precicely 10 times as many guns as I should have. :)

Tippy was the first though, and Some sort of mag (the Micro-E or *crosses fingers* Xmag will be my last ;) )

GO AGD!

It was the thought that counted. Heh.

The first gun _I_ bought was a Tippmann Custom 98.

I now own an ULE Emag, and a heavily customized 2k1 PGP.

this is my first ever marker and mag that i ever owned

it was a minimag valved with all 4 **** with level 10 a automag body witch i think was a minimag body that was cut and had a teflon paint job on it. ss dye 12" crossfire steel tank. rico 2k it was a really nice marker a bit heavy

now over a year a upgraded the hell out of it and tried different airgun things with it. like a z grip and y grip, and tones of different bodys and barrels and frames. i have all the pics on what i did of it till the end when i sold it for my e-mag!!!

My first was a used Tippmann ProAm. Wasn't anything plastic on it. I still love the feel of the cast alluminum grip. Shortly after that, I got a good deal on a Splatmaster, and it was off to the races.

I bought my first marker in '91, the sl-68II by tippmann! It still gets field time! It's the most natural marker I have ever shot. :ninja:

technically it was a splatmaster. but i never played with it. i then "inheirited" my old man's vm-68 magnum. thing's a freakin tank. i swear that i could chuck it in a lake for a year and it would still function. i'm also rather fond of the thunderous blast made by the 14" unported bull barrel. everyone thinks i have a shotgun :D

I don’t know if you want to call it a paintball marker but I had a “Gotcha Gun” I don’t know if you all remember those toy paintball markers. My first “real” marker was a 68 Classic, Automag. :D

For me in chronological order:
Trracer, I remember back in 1994 or so.
Automag Level 7
Automag RT
Angel
Autococker, made from a limited edition Nickel WGP STO body kit and random aftermarket parts
MicroMag RT
Blue Emag w/ plastic nubbins and one of those black superbolts (Tom was a little concerned when I broke one the first plastic nubbins at Country Club after the AGD tech class).
RT Pro, later upgraded to ULE Emag
NME - current and only marker

As with many of you I've jumped in and out of the game a few times, and have gravitated back to AGD products on quite a few occasions.
