So this is my second charger, the first broke in the same spot and I ended up trashing it and buying a new one for like 80$ :tard:

I had wrapped it a month or so ago when I noticed the rubber was starting to break (as this is how my last charger started) around the plug and it worked for a while until I noticed it sometimes wasn't charging unless I wiggled it. So I knew it was screwed.

The grayish wires from the plug are separating from the copper wires in the power cord.

Any way to fix this? Any ideas at all? (Apple's chargers blow, but I love my powerbook and os/x)

I will admit I'm probably hard on this thing though. Never use it at a desk.

might be able to break apart the plug and solder it...if the wires pulled off their connections your kind of sol unless you can find which wire goes where.

that sucks....looks like it pulled out or did it break of from flexing too much?

oh i'm stupid....its not broke off yet? I guess that makes sense since the plugs still lit up....

I'd check it out the best you can, make sure there isnt any bare wires anywhere, bend the wire right at the broken section 180* and electrical tape it to the connector itself. That way the wire is supported, and the broken section is free floating and wont see any additional stress.
