this would be very nice if they offer a rail mount verision.

They do offer a rail mount version :) The one shown is a prototype. It was originally intended for an underbarrel mount. ;) More pics to come.

I'm going to see a huge number of those at my field shortly after the release. Lotta big scenario games come to our field.

I like how the man said that it's humanly impossible to load rockets more than 1 per second. I'll bet in AGD's heyday they could come up with a faster, automated feed system that would beat the 1 per second rate they timed.

I've always liked this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnFiW1LYtts).

Maybe they should make a little tab thingy or something in the metadyne one so you cant fire a rocket into your hand :p

if the cost is good. its a lot smaller than my MKX.
this is a pic of one of my old team mates luncher. this thing works great you get 6 shots on the frist load and if you got someone loading you can keep going. they can load one and you still have one in chamber.
i used it at blanding once

Noob tube FTW!

what kind of pressure input this thing take?

noxx55
10-03-2008, 01:30 PM
Pressure input does not matter as it has a built in regulator. No need to worry about the pressure you are inputing.

More info
MSRP is looking to be around 300-400 depending on options. Have heard a rumor of a pre release sale once production prototype is done big discounts.

Regulator will go between 200-300 psi

13 ci 3000 psi tank 10-15 shots
3 oz co2 tank 10-15 shots
12gram 1-2 shots

Yes these will be anode flat black like everything Metadyne makes.

More info as I find it.

While that may be true, I don't know what you would use it for. You would either have to be facing down a small convoy of tanks or really bad with your aim.

noxx, you mgiht just want to have the rail mount piece on all of them, have the stock and grip removable. then you would only have 1 version to sell.

Or have a lot of bunkers/structures to blow up. You could quickly and easily clear out a large group of campers that way.

Wow that thing is so rad.

Though seeing that after having watched Terminator 2 recently makes me hope for either a break breach/long barrel version or maybe even a 6shooter. Or both :D either way that'd be fun to carry. Def would make a killer under/over setup with a tacone or something. Might be kinda heavy but meh... it'll do the business.

I was thinking the same thing, but the whole backcap seems to be changed between the two. A rail mounted grip and stock(rail on backcap) that slides on vertically would simply be BADASS. Change between the two setups by simply loosening a few setscrews, sliding the noob tube off the gun, and cliping on the one piece frame/stock to the tube.(air line would add some complexity past what was stated but you get the idea)

If it could slide open and load from the back of the breach, it would be beautiful successor to the M203. But breach loading like this is much more practical for paintball. I can't wait to see some of these in action, they look really fun. Especially with the under mount option.

Second video is up:

I was able to shoot this thing last week and it was freakin awesome. It gets 2 shots per 12 gram consistently. I believe we went through a box of 25 and it got 2 GOOD shots per 12gram. We also tested it lobbing grenades and it works great.

any special reason for making the shotgun "clips" out of aluminum?.....myself I'd just take 5 ten round tubes, put them together and maybe make 2 or 3 small aluminum ribs that would support and direct airflow through the tubes. It would all probably need epoxied together so the tubes wouldnt shoot out, but materials would be cheaper, a huge amount less machine time....and long plastic tubes could be used to increase the internal paint "barrel" length(and efficiency, allowing you to increase shots per 12 gram or tank)

just throught I'd throw that out there.

Love the idea btw.

any ideas for a giant paintball waterballon type RPG? :D

breech loading FTW! I cant wait to see it.

That is a prototype cartridge. I believe the parent company will be making a plastic cartridge for the launcher. This was a test to make sure it could fire paintballs.

cool, thought they would be better off with injection molded, but its so expensive to setup and the quantities might not be high enough to justify the price.

cant wait to see the final product.

The aluminum grapeshot round seems to work great. They are building detents into the final model I believe. I will definitely use it.
