View Full Version : How do you carry your marker to the field?

Used my marker the first time this past weekend and used the box that my new marker came in when I brought it to the field.

What do you guys use?

I'd rather have something to keep it secured, so I wouldn't like a duffle bag. Suitcase toolboxes the way to go?

Pics would be cool too so I can get some ideas on how you move your equipment around.

i've got an actual JT gear bag that I bought used off a teammate. up until this year though, i had been using a Nike duffel bag and putting my gun in an end pocket.

I just put it in a toolbox and I usually wrap my marker with something to keep it from scratching.

I find a toolbox useful to carry all my paintball equipment.

There was a guy about a year ago that was selling metal hard cases on here. I bought two of them, so one has my hoppers, tank, harness, misc equipment. And the other houses my Phantom, Sniper, and Alien.

Laptop case. A good one can hold 3 guns and several barrels, keeping all of them separated. It's dirt cheap and they're all over the place.

Of course, at the field they wouldn't know that, as I keep everything in my trunk. Keep your stuff in your car or it will get stolen.

Redz Marker Bags in a large tool box or in a gear bag work out nice.

I have a scenario 'trunk'. It's big rubbermaid action packer with four 14" square poly-ethylene boxes with layers of foam in them. One box usually holds two markers and I use two boxes for that (two solid markers and two goof-offs). Two boxes are parts, tools and small equipment. There's room on the end for loaders and bottles as well. I couldn't move it if it was much bigger. I started that for packing for out of state scenarios and never moved out. They make some plastic footlockers that look like they would be good also. Once something doesn't fit in that box, it's time to take something else out. The little boxes came from 'the container store' and are like plano organizers without the organization. Roughnecks come in smaller sizes and the plastic is good for dirty fields.

A few teammates use the trunk of their car or the covered bed of their truck for storage. I don't think they could put it anywhere else now. :wow:

I actually made a plastic hard case for my 98 by cutting up an existing hard case and re-lining it with hard foam in the shape of parts (barrel, sight, stock, cyclone feed, etc).
There is also a part in the top that opens to store my remote line, some pods, an extra loader (A-5 and X-7 style) and other 98 specific accessories (slings, etc).

It is pretty big and cumbersome for what it carrys though so I might just dumb down to a cloth rifle-bag.

As far as my mags and pump and such, I toss 'em on top of the towels and bags and cleaning gear in my suitcase/dufflebag/gearbag.

I've been meaning to get a seperate hard/soft case for my markers though because as of now it is busting at the seams and I need to use a seperate bag for my packs and pods and one of my masks needs to be carried and I have a backpack for spare clothes; and I plan on adding gear/guns in the near future so...
I'd rather keep everything in 1 or 2 things: 1 for gear and 1 for guns...

If you get a paintball specific luggage bag (like a bodybag) they sometimes have sleeves inside for markers...

I have a 32 Degress (old) gear bag that has my pack, hopper, tools, rags, goggles, etc... I keep my old Spyder in there as back-up. The Mag gets a padded gun case that has a zip closure. There are 2 large pockets on the outside. One holds my tank, the other holds a remote line and some other tools.

I have a hard plastic double pistol case. theres a couple layers of foam on the inside, and ive got it setup to hold a hopper, barrel or two, a mag, and a few tools and batteries. the others usually go in a backpack or a rubbermaid tub with my soft gear.

I got a Ryobi jigsaw plastic case and cut out the molded parts on the inside so it's just an empty shell. Then I glued (liquid nails) some black foam (it's denser than the light colored stuff and thinner as well) to each side. I can fit my Y'd MicroMag, an extra benchmark single trigger frame, 3 barrels, spare parts and a bunch of other random stuff I throw in (batteries, allen keys, screwdrivers, etc). Everything else goes in a cardboard box or a duffel bag. I would like to get a larger case that could fit everything, including my tank and hopper. I was at WalMart the other day and saw a 4 pistol hard case for $11 that looks pretty promising. It sounds like the one Engus has, a couple of layers of foam. I think with the proper cutting I could fit my 68ci tank and ricochet in it with everything else.

Excellent idea. There have been a few western scenario games that would be a lot of fun with. I feel the need to make a guitar case LAW rocket launcher. :bounce:

Hard cases all the way! Just plan out the arrangement of stuff before cutting the foam. Fit as much as you can in without metal on metal,

When going out for a day of play I usually take: duffel bag, 2 hard gun cases, and a double sided gun case style tool box.

5 markers, 2 barrel kits, 3 air tanks, 4 hoppers, 2 masks, all my paintball attire and enough tools and spare parts to fix just about any problem there is on the field. Theres probably a lot more in there too. :)

The point there is that your case should be proportional to your markers. :D

And there's enough room in one for an RT'd pneumag with paint and air, now that you mention it.
