Until there is a subforum for 2009 D-Day Oklahoma, this will serve as the official German D-Day recruiting thread.

Greetings from the Oklahoma D-Day German High Command.
Oklahoma D-Day 2009 * June 8 - 14, 2009.

Come help the German Army to back-to-back victories!

OK D-Day 2009 is just six months away, so if you're interested in making the trip to the biggest paintball event in the world, its time to start planning your trip to Oklahoma.

The German Army has a type of unit for any play style, whether you want to sling immense amounts of paint in an Infantrie unit, roll in the iron monsters of the 21st Panzer Division, or run with some of the most insane scenario players in the world in one of the German special forces units.

German Infantrie: The German Anvil

Join the German Infantry TODAY and take your place on the battleline among the dedicated German Players that man the miles of trenchworks, bunker complexes, towering fortresses, and urban sprawl of the nearly 800-Acre D-Day Adventure Park playing field.

Always outnumbered but never outgunned, the German Infantry is the first line of defense against the oncoming Allied Horde landing every June at D-Day Adventure Park in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Each year, the German Infantry mans the battlements of Utah, Omaha, and Sword Beaches as well as Brecourt Manor, and other strong points, raining paint and destruction down on the Allied invaders.

3 epic beaches, 5 major towns, 4 principle bridges, over 15 simultaneous objectives, nearly 800+ acres of playing field - all under the fearless shield of the dedicated German Infantry... and all of it awaiting attack by the largest paintball army the world has ever seen. In the German Army we often draw parallels between the type of game we play and the famous battle of the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae. Joining the German Infantry is as close as most of us will ever get to that sort of experience just for the sheer fun of doing it. As Germans, we fight outnumbered – by both intention and design.

There are no age restrictions for German Infantry Units. Without a doubt, The German Infantry is the best choice for the entire family as well as those players that are new to Oklahoma D-Day.

The Iron Fist: The 21st Panzers

Are you a die-hard paintball tanker interested in bringing your tank and crew to D-Day 2009? Does the mere sight of tanks running rampant on the battlefield give you the urge to snatch up the nearest anti-tank weapon and hunt them down? Do you have that special love of operating side-by-side with tanks on the field as a member of an elite mechanized infantry unit? Are you a builder of heavy weapons who loves to bring fearsome firepower to the field?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then a spot in one of the Units of the German Panzer Korps is just what you've been looking for.

No matter what your niche, from classic Double-Trouble wielding "Hammer" to Tank Commander to Mech Infantry Grunt, the paintball adventure of a lifetime is waiting for you in the German Panzer Korps.

Drawing heavily on the rich histories of the historical units that make up the Panzer Korps, we have defined many detailed roles for players of all kinds within the units of the German Panzer Korps...

Of course, if you want to HUNT the Allied tanks, the Panzerjagers are the fit for you. Only the most skillful tank hunters can take on the nearly invulnerable iron beasts armed merely with a Panzershrek or a Panzerfaust, but the PJ's do exactly that year after year. The Panzerjagers also need Panzergrenadiers to run with the 'shrek and 'faust toters, so if you want to help hunt tanks but don't have an AT tube, don't hesitate to join the Panzerjagers.

German Special Forces: The Irresistible Force of the German Army

Do you have the heart of a warrior? The most impressive, talented, and hard-charging collection of die-hard scenario warriors in the world can be found in the German Special Operations Command (GSOC). GSOC draws on the combined skill-sets of not only vast scenario paintball experience but real-world experience as well to field the most formidable force of elite scenario players the world has ever seen.

Outnumbered nearly two-to-one by their Allied Special Operations counterparts, the players of GSOC are truly a cut above the norm. Facing the titanic Allied Airborne Invasion on multiple fronts while simultaneously lending their hard-hitting striking power the the German Fortress Units they support, the battle awaiting the players of GSOC at Oklahoma D-Day is not simply "challenging" or "daunting" - it's epic.

Whether you join the 6th Fallschrimjagers, the enigmatic Geisterjagers, the hard-charging MEK, or the Kommandos, you can look forward to facing 2-to-1, 5-to-1, or even 10-to-1 odds while pounding ground over miles of rugged playing field, while facing enemies from all directions deep within your enemies own lines If this sounds like the perfect way to spend a day of playing paintball, then signing up with a German Special Forces Unit is going to be right up your alley.

The players of GSOC fight in every corner of D-Day Adventure Park's 800+ acre playing field. You will stand toe-to-toe against the very best the Allied Army has to send against you. If the mission sounds impossible, German High Command will call on YOU to accomplish it.

The unit pride, comeraderie, and esprit de corps found among the German Special Forces Units is unparalleled at Oklahoma D-Day. From the leadership and direction brought to these units by active and former military service members to the dedicated, honorable players that fill the ranks - you will find no greater commitment to excellence on and off the field then among the German Special Operations Units at Oklahoma D-Day.

If you chose to join a German Special Operations Unit, you must be prepared to be on the field all day and to cover vast amounts of territory on foot over and over again. These units are not for the feint-of-heart. Good physical conditioning is a must, as is proper gear and equipment to endure a full day of hardcore play in the Oklahoma summer heat under some of the most grueling conditions imaginable.

*** NOTICE: You must be at least 15 Years Old by the time of D-Day 2009 to join one of these Units ***
No Exceptions.

And remember as always - Whether you chose German or Allied, just get out there and play.

German High Command has revamped Axiscommand.org to make it a one-stop destination for all information on the OK D-Day German Army. If you haven't been there (or haven't been there recently), drop by, look around, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Each branch of the OK D-Day German Army has its own forum, and each unit has its own subforum with information on the historical background of the actual D-Day unit as well as the role the unit will play at OK D-Day. Of course, if you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me.

Being as this is a broad German recruiting forum I will refrain from plugging my unit too much, but if you are looking for a gfroup to not only have a great time with but run all over the field with the 716th Infanterie Division is looking for soem great people who love playing paintball. with that said, whether you choose the 716th or any other unit in the Axis Army, I can promise you this your experience at OK DDay will be unparalleled.

The German Army still offers the best collection of Units, for ALL playing styles; You like defensive play, join one of the beach infantry units. If you like playing inside big toys, join the Panzers and shoot Allies with a "Double Trouble" from inside a tank! You like sneaking around and "sniping" we have the "Geisterjagers" or GJ's for short. Then for those who want to see the WHOLE field and kick butt on the 82nd and 101st Airborne, then there is the Creme-de-la-creme... 6th Fallschirmjager Regiment.

Anyway you slice it, the GERMAN ARMY has what your looking for... check us out at: http://www.axiscommand.org

To further show that the German Army has something for EVERYONE; the GERMAN'S were the FIRST to recognize that our WOMEN are as good (if not better, in most cases) as the guys. Thus the "VALKYRIES" were formed as an ALL WOMEN'S unit that is a part of, and plays side-by-side with the 6th FALLSCHIRMJAGERS REGIMENT.

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff206/Vladruk/2009%20Posters/valkyrie.jpg

We also have the BEST LOOKING Commanders.... "VALKYRIES" MAJOR "BOND CHICK"

So no matter what style of play, or even what gender, the GERMAN ARMY has what your looking for.

Looks awsome, Id honestly rather join the Germans anyday. Go to Germany each year and many of my good friends are German. Never really got into this whole scenerio stuff but would not mind giving it a whirl. I really like the idea of special forces, I mean who wouldnt? Im the skinny guy who did Army ROTC all through the University years and loved it to death. All the hands on stuff was great. However its been like 3 years so lol about if its just crazy difficult stuff the way I am probably:) Im a computer pusher now! Quick few questions, how long does the actual engagement last? What happens when you run out of paint on the field, that is, you have more back in your bags but your out in no mans land? What is the time limit before they let you back in the game, obviously no one wants to sit there for hours on end doing nothing. Lets say the day is done with, do ppl just camp out, go to hotels, allowed to go to a local mcdonalds or what have you or whats the deal there.

Ive got plenty more questions and im sure these are all super basic but heck, I dont know.

Thanks for the help!

Don't worry about being a computer pusher, I am a Radiation Protection Tech., 50 and about 50 lbs. overweight and I run around the field without too many problems. The key is keeping hydrated, the first piece of gear to get for D-Day is a "Camelbak" to keep water in your system.

And since you go to Germany so much, you can help me with my poor high school Deutsche... :)

Paint and air are available at each of the dead zones on the field. When you "buy" paint, you actually get tickets for 500 rds/ticket. So you buy 3 cases of paint, you get 12 tickets. you take the tickets on the field with you and get paint as you need it. Air/CO2 is included with your registration fee.

Any more questions just ask here, PM me or go to: http://www.axiscommand.org

Thanks for the good tips, btw hows the paint at the scenerios? oh wait nvm just realized JT's line of Fluid is going to be the sole provider this year, saw it on youtube. Thanks for the heads up, I went to Axis command and put some questions there. I plan to buy a little between now and then to be ready for these events, say camo jerseys etc, I of course have the new Army Digis (ACU) but I hear its not that great in the heat, though I never had a problem with them, Florida here and all. Unless I run into a wad of money between then and now, Ill still be shooting my AUtomag RT Pro at the games:) Old girl but very steady and unbreakable! Cya on the main forums!

Any tips plz post, Id love to hear of some of the SPecial forces missions ppl have been on, I think I will be applying to that just for the sneak attacks etc.

Automags are excellent choices for OK D-Day because of their dependability, durability, and the fact they don't mind rain. Unless you have a reason to change your marker, an RT Pro will work fine for OK D-Day.
