I'm just curious as to how many variations of the X valve there are.
--Are there only 10 o'clock versions of the ones with the "X" or are there 10 o'clock ones of all the different etchings like "Xvalve" and "Emax"?
--How many colors are actually out there?
--Were there colored valves etched w/ anything other than "X"?

Here are a few I have or have had:

Over on PBL I started a list of different valves and a pic of each one as well as an ownership list of where it's at now...

I've neglected the list lately, and I know I need to update it with not only the things I have but what others have, but I've not yet.

Anyway... It's not just X's... It's all AGD valves that I know of.

I have a pewter XValve that has no visible laser engraving (it's all between the rail and the valve). Mine's a one off tho.

Nice try MM, we all know this is just another way to show off your collection of Mag parts. :D

EDIT: Fine, I'll add some actual content:

<img src="http://store.airgundesignsusa.com/images/category/thumbnails/sm_79.jpg"></img>

Some pictures of the stock different color anodized x-valves.

We're not counting all the various custom anodized X's are we? Like on that black and green Tiger E-mag a while back?

I also am pretty sure I've seen a stock green X-valve. I'll keep looking
(Or maybe i'm wrong: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=156663)

How about the tuna engraved X's:

I don't have an ice... but here's a pic of my pewter from this summer...THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PEWTER FROM AGD. I have it all together but my other pic's really don't show off the valve... of course, now that I preview these photoshop express ( my image host ) seems to be constraining the size of these pic's for some reason... oh well, off to find another host.

P.S. You can't see it here but the x is starting to fade away. Valve is in great condition... but the x is still starting to fade.

Not counting custom anos.
And does that orange one actually exist?

Also as I asked in the first post, are there 10 o'clock versions of everything?

I didn't think there was an orange one so I had one anodized orange. Came out nice, but I didn't have the x or anything re-etched in.

Well koleah added some "actual content" with a picture of "stock" valves from the AGD site showing an orange one and I'm just curious if that was valve that was actually in production or more of a very limited thing.

I'd like to see a pic of your orange one tho.

I just got this pm over on pbl from A-Tach-One and I thought I would share:

Hello,
I just checked out AO and saw your post on different Xvalves. These are the factory valves I have or have owned below. There are 10 O'clocks of all colors but I can't say for sure if there are black 10 O'Clock though.

Factory
"Emax" Engraved (black)
"RT Pro" Engraved Xvalve (black)
"XMag" Engraved (black)
"XValve" Engraved (black)
"X" Engraved (Red, Blue, Purple, Pewter and black)

Factory/Custom
Tuna does his custom ano'd version of the Emax valves so that they are under warrantee.

Sure, everyone loves pics. :) Orange ano compliments of The Fool. Notice, No X, but I can still slightly see the imprint of that and the serial number in case I were to have it re etched. I sold it to a friend though, but I can easily trade or buy it back. Good friends rock.

Hey:

Madmarx in answer to your question, "Also as I asked in the first post, are there 10 o'clock versions of everything?"

The answer is NO. The 10 o'clock X-Valve is only on some of the single X's valves in all the colors, during a run of laser etching the company AGD uses messed up and instead of putting the "X" at 9 o'clock or in line with the side of the gun as it was supposed to be the "X" was put in the 10 o'clock position.

This thread from AGD should explain, it happened back when we still had X-Mags going out of AGD's doors. http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=108662&highlight=o%27clock

Hope this helps,

So out of all the different valves are there certain ones that are more rare than others. I saw someone mention that the ice blue is hard to find. Are Emax more rare than Xvalve, etc. etc. etc.
