Pneumag with UMF frame?

I know there have been pneumags made with the UMF mech frame, but have there been any done with the lpr inside the frame? They look pretty small to fit an lpr in there but I want to see for sure. Also, if you have a pneu'd UMF frame please post pics of your setup.

I don't know if anyone has successfully put an LPR inside of a UMF. There is a lot of meat at the bottom of the UMF, and the grip screw holes are in the middle of the frame, so you'd really have your work cut out for you. Personally, I was going to try the same thing, but I ended up using a Palmer's stabilizer instead. It's still a sleeper look, and it was a lot easier than dremeling the hell out of my UMF. (This is a slightly more expensive option, but I considered it worthy because it is such a simpler design.)

It can be done. I put one in one. It now lives in Germany. I have worked on a second, but have not finished it yet. LPRs can be put in any frame.

Top right. I had alum pannels made for all of mine to eliminate the problem of the screw holes. I can put them wherer I want.

I am sure I have more somewhere, but those are the ones already loaded on photobucket. IMO wires/hoses make a mag look less appeasing to the eye. I may get pics up of my new one shortly.

well I see pretty much anything is possible as long as you're willing to dremel away. I bought my umf frame already milled and drilled for a pneumatic conversion. I have no experience with pneumags but I'm assuming that I could buy a pneu kit and pretty much drop it in with the frame. And of course an external lpr unless I mill the bottom out or something. Here are some pics of the frame I am talking about.

The ASA is modified with a hole drilled into the top that allows the air to go up through the bottom of the grip into the LPR. A simple Oring between the gripframe and ASA keeps is from leaking. There is a similar thread around here where someone posted pictures of the modified ASA and bottom of grip frame.

no sir. All of the modified ones that I have done do not require an oring. They screw directly into the asa.

Here is one that I built. You will notice that this is a complete frame on a working gun, not just some empty frames with an LPR and barely room for anything else. You will also motice that my setup uses an on/off asa and not just a screw in asa. Much better set up in my opinion.

The set up I did also mounts the asa like normal, with 2 mounting screws, not only one at in the other set ups shown.

The only real trouble with my setup is that you will have to use a Dye Sticky3 grip with only the top mounting screws or have custom grips made. I may even begin making some clear or smoked grip panels to compliment this mod. I have not decided yet since the Dye Sticky3s are great grips and work fine in this applicaiton.

All of the ones pictured with "barely room for anything else" were completed, and worked great. some were pneumags and some were EPmags.

The ones built without on/off asas pictured above were because the member that I built them for did not want to pay extra for the on/off asas. I will have to search, but somewhere there are pictures of a logic umf with cp on/off asa on it. Not the huge ugly ones pictured above, but the rail mount version.

I'm working on a pneu intelli-sleeper right now. I just have two or three more parts to modify. Once that's done, I'm thinking about doing an EP intelli-sleeper. I'll post pics when it's pneud.

It's taking me a while to do because I was told the way I want to do it isn't possible. It definitely is. So, I'm doing it all myself in my spare time. I'm pretty sure I'll have the pneu stuff done before the local fields start opening again. Onces that's done, adding the electronics will be a cake walk.
