Actually, what was your first?

What was your first paintball marker? The first time I ever played, I used a Crosman 3357 Spotmarker.
http://www.vintagerex.com/pics/gunpics/Crosman/3357%20Spotmarker/3357.jpg

The second time I played, I used a Nelspot 007.
http://www.vintagerex.com/pics/gunpics/Nelson%20Paint%20Company/Nel-Spot/nelspot.jpg
Yeah, I know, I'm that old.

When I finally broke down and bought my own, it was a pair of Splatmasters. My friends and I would play in the local woods.

So, let's hear about yours.

good ole brass eagle talon. Then me and my dad went out and I got a spyder tl plus. I put a bottomline reg on. That was about 6-8th grade. 8th grade graduation I got an emag, what a brick that puppy was.

First time I played was either 1989 or 90 with bolt action nelspots. The game didnt even start because of rain and they shut the field down.

My real official first game was in 1991 with a sheridan short barrel piranha. My first elimination was a head shot. I was hooked.

I didn't get started until somewhere around '95 or '96... I used a buddy's Razorback II... or maybe it was the Poison (don't remember the manufacturer).

My first purchased marker was a Tippmann Prolite. I love that marker and still have it today :D

Wish I would've kept my first gun... every subsequent gun i've let go past my first one just numbed the blow...

However, I did keep my Second gun... and been falling head over heels since :D

I'll be homeless under a bridge w/ my priceless marker strapped to my *** before i sell her for food :|

Back to the topic at hand though, First gun was a bone stock 05 speed, not much further off the beaten path than my second but i loved them both... Yeah, I was spoiled :|

Back in 95 my first gun was a PMI Trracer. In 96 a PGP joined the family. The Trracer is gone and the PGP was sold to a brother in law but I missed it so much I bought it back.

I couldn't tell you what the first marker it was when I first played, but suffice it to say that it was enough to get me to buy my own--I still have it. All ca. 1994-95.

That is a sweet marker. I'm feeling quite meloncholy, reading about all these old markers.
I'm kicking myself for abusing and losing the markers I've owned in the past.

After my splatmaster, my parents bought me a KP2. I later added the constant air option (remember that term? :) ). Unfortunately, I abused that marker and I don't remember what happened to it.

Soon after, I bought a BE King Cobra. Being the teenager that I was, I abused that also. Again, I don't remember what happened to it.

After that, I bought a Tippmann 68 Special. I got a lot of use out of that beauty. Can you imagine, true semi-auto!!!! The feedneck developed a crack and I sold it to a co-worker for next to nothing.

After that came the Tippmann C98. I still have that, and I'll never get rid of it.

Then came the A5. I loved that marker, but kind of grew out of it (remember the old A5OG - what was that moderators name? - is he still around?).

That's when I finally got my Tac-One. This is still my primary, although I did take a brief departure with a Blazer.

While using the Blazer, I let my son (10 yrs old) use the Tac One. I decided to sell the Blazer and buy the boy (he's 12 now) a Mini. So the Tac One is mine again. I think it will always be my primary.

Lastly, I'm building a ULE Automag with Xvalve and L10. That will be the backup.

My first game was a rental nelspot without a pump handle in 89. I lost enough skin off my knuckle to go buy my own piranha long barrel. I eventually loaned that one to my future brother in law and never saw it again.

I went through the unibody phantom and F-1 illustrator (still have that one) until I got a mag in 92.

I still have pieces of that mag on three different builds, but I don't miss the phantom or the nelspot. :)

My first few games were with the old green box loader pistol. I can't remember the name. Each tube in the box held 4 or 5 shots. You had to turn the box after the tube ran out to get the next few shots.

First marker I purchased was a Kingman Hammer. You truly can learn how to play the game better with a pump.

I moved up to the first Kingman Spyder released. I walked on to a semi-pro team with that marker. The all had Auto C ockers. They started the day laughing, but didn't end that way. I was asked how it was possible to to always take out 5 of their top guys on their best 10-man team with only using half a hopper of paint. Goes back to that pump thing.

I eventually brokedown and purchased my friends Automag from him. That was the best marker (IMO) on the market when it came out. Unfortunately, I played one game with it, sodl it, and left paintball.

Sorry I can't be more nostalgic, but I played my first game in 2006 with a JT Tac 5. It was an incredile POS... So my first buy was a Tippmann 98 Custom.

1) Tippmann.
2) 32Degrees Delta .68.
3) PMI Piranha STS E-Force. Nice little electro sear tripper I got for $60 and fixed up. (no longer own).
4) PMI Trracer. Love it!
5) SP ION. Traded it without playing a game with it.
6) AGD RT classic I rescued, fixed up, and am loving!
7) AGD RT Pro I got for the ION + change. My current primary.
8) Psycho Ballistics Lightning 'Cocker.
9) On the way is a 2005 WGP Superstock.

And on the "wanted" list is an E-mag and a VSC .45 Phantom. And I always enjoy the oldies and want a Nelspot, PGP, Piranha Long-Barrel, Palmers Typhoon, Tippmann 68 Special, Tippmann F/A, Nova, a classic 'Cocker, a .68 Automag, and probably more...

My first time playing was with a Trracer (pump) and Stingray (semi).

This was back in '93, we later added an autococking kit to the Trracer, which was always problematic.

My first game ever was Christmas 1994 with my Karate group, indoor paintball place and I shot a VM68. For that christmas, Santa brought me a F2 illustrator. Played a while with that and moved to a outdoor field, everyone shot mags. I got a Crown point/power feed mag that came with a VL200 hopper and 12oz C02. I was the man with that mag, I loved it.

I bought a autococker after a break from the game. Dumped tons of money in that and played with that for a while. I recently picked up a classic RT that is giving me troubles and just bought a G3 (well in may).

So, recap.
1. F2 illustrator
2. Mag
3. cocker
4. classic RT
5. G3

My first gun was a Tippmann Prolite, circa 95-96, as solid and trusty as you could ever get. However, this was in the days when mags and cockers still ruled the fields, and the older guys toting them, clad in tigerstripe, were to be greatly feared... :ninja:

Super accurate, but finicky as hell, I could never make it through a full game without something going wrong with a gun, so I got really good with pumps, until I picked up this baby in 1992 as well;

Which I still own, but is now seeing service as the Park-52 Mag MkII.

My first time was in '96. I was sixteen, and I went to a cheap, local field with a bunch of swim team buddies. They rented out PMI Trracer pumps, and the masks fogged like crazy, but I liked it enough to buy a Spyder SE a few years later. I knew enough to want an Automag, but at that time, the Spyder was almost $300. :wow: There was no way I could dish out the $500 I needed for an Automag.

Then, I graduated college, got a real job, and discovered that I could buy a used mag for about $100. I bought one, sold the Spyder to a friend for $50, and have never looked back.

My brother and I were on a trip back to Central California from Long Beach, CA when we stopped at a field that was just south of Magic Mountain on I-5. I always carried my marker in the car (original Spyder with ceramic barrel). We saw about 7 or 8 guys all dressed in tiger camo and carrying AC's and Mags. Those were the best guns on the market at that time. I asked one of them what team they were on and was told they weren't a team.

I proceeded to take 3 of the 8 out in the ensuing game. They wiped like window cleaners. I was so mad at the field refs for letting them get away with it right in front of them. After the game was over, I advised the field owner I wouldn't be playing with cheats on his field any longer and we were leaving. One of the guys came up to me and asked if my brother (who they shot out from behind cover just as the ref said go) and I would join their team!

What a bunch of losers. The opposition they were facing that day prior to us arriving: 10 and 11 year old kids on a birthday party. I think our game was the 8 of them versus 15 or so of us (myself, brother, and kids). I can't stand cheaters.

My first purchase and use was a mail order marker I got back in 1989 while in college. A bunch of us would play outlaw at night around the campus. They where buying the plastic splat masters but I thought that metal was a superior material so I opted for the more expensive Nel-Splat 007 with the extended barrel tip and pump handle. Still have it and looks just like the day I bought it. I can remember buying 10 round tubes of paint for 10-20 cents a ball... Ah, those where the days.

Once I left college I never really played again for about 10 years... until a co worker let me use his spyder; that spurred me to buy a Tippy A5 and then I got my AGD Tac One and have since turned into a Automag Whore... I just sold the Tippy last month.

First day of paintball i used a sling shot against several spatmasters and there was one semi think it was around 93.
When all my friends got semis i got to use a handme down splatmaster. Stop playing for a while even though i really wanted to get my own marker. First self owned marker was a tippmann a5, then i got a sydarm that i wore as a backup, i remember one day being the last one man left surrounded by 4 opponents dual wielding untill i ran out of ammo, last ball got the last guy, I win. The sydarm enabled me to find AO from there i build my first mag:
xvalve, chimera, qloader, which i parted to create my current mag: the hypermagit, 13bps hyperframe w/microswitch, alpha rail, xvalve ult, dw grip &barrel ,IT body. Building another mag now.

I don't remember what my first was. Some pump at an indoor. It was around '92/'93, maybe a tippman? My first gun owned was a Stingray. My brother got two for his birthday, but we only had one mask. So two people took the guns and another person wore the mask and had to make it across my back yard without getting hit. I don't know why anyone agreed to it, but everyone wore the mask, and most everyone got pounded. :tard:

Since then:

Sypder compact
Tippman Pro-lite
68 AutoMag Classic, NIB in '95, which has since evolved into a Y-Framed MicroMag RT, I still have the original rail, body and trigger frame, but none of them look like they did when purchased.
