Anybody ever heard of a Serge Edition.
I stumbled on a craigslist ad for one and the seller claims
"My friends have not allowed me to sell this thing for the last 10 years do to its history. This gun is on of the first Serge models and since then has been upgraded to all level 7 criteria."
Doesn't look like anything special to me.
Is this guy just sugar coating his plain automag? Or have I just never heard of a "Serge Edition"?

Now why would you say that?
He posted that gun on MCB, and I think another east coast player confirmed that "serge" was an early performance tuner of guns, maybe mags only. This gun could have originally been a lvl 5 if you read that it is "Upgraded" to lvl 7. The gun is owned by an old pro player, cant remember the team, but its all on MCB somewhere. Look for posts by "Archie" or something similar. He had a beautiful brass nelson based gun for sale also.

Interesting. Got a link? I would like to learn some new AGD history.

lmao one of the posts on mcb said the fitting was so you could plug it in to you walkman :p
I think that fitting is a german qd fitting, someone posted about them on BEO a week ago or something

Wow. Thats just dumb.
Everyone knows its for an iPOD.

Yep. He was actually saying the older ones had a better flow too IIRC. That Mag is pretty beat though.
I am sure it holds "collector value", but IMO it is a lvl 7 mag as he states it was upgraded. Maybe a low serial # one, but none the less just another lvl 7 mag.

Team was owned by Jerry Braun, not the gun....LOL.
Sure to some it looks like a beat Mag, but when you realize it is a Pro's old gun, from a time when there was what, 8-10 pro teams total, it may hold some collector value to so other people. So dont knock it, or you will have to admit to most of the paintball community that YOU play with an outdated, slow gun yourself................

I wasn't knocking it. Just wondering if there was such a thing as a "Serge Edition"
Turns out there may be. I mean all we have really seen so far is the seller stating what it is.
I wonder if TK would have any recollection of a guy named Serge who was tuning mags back in the day?
You would think he would remember the guy that invented the level 5 or 7 :ninja:
