The repeal of the 22nd Amendment? Are you effing joking me? It is the USA fellas, not the USSA (yet  )

I guess Putin can do it in Russia, why not let it happen here

Why anybody would want to remove a restriction of this type I will never be sure. This, to be frank, scares the "snot" out of me.

It'll never pass. Stupid bills get introduced as cheap stunts all the time with no real expectations of progressing. One of the many reasons Congress can be so damn inefficient.

Another example: Texas lawmaker wants college football playoffs (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hYSdgxmLksFuqhYElicXHgK8JRLQD95J895G7)

Mr. Serrano is the same 'fool' that tried to pass one of those other bills, hr45 I think. I'm not sure if I can say here what ought to happen to that man.

How do people like this get elected? :tard:

The 22nd amendment is only about 50 years old, it's not like it's a founding principle or anything.

It is a founding tradition begun by our first president.

Yeah, although the amendment itself is relatively recent, the tradition spans the history of the country, with the obvious exception of FDR. Extenuating circumstances and all that.

FDR was the reason for this amendment. We do not need another FDR.
