..4500psi Flatline...maintenance issues...

Right, so I'm considering buying a 4500psi Flatline system for rapid-firing, but heard that there are/may be some maintenance issues. More specifically the quote below.

"a pointer to bring up with the flatline systems, at least the 4500's specifically the reg seats get eaten way to quickly, and they are a pain to change, trying to squeeze a new seat up over the piston "pin" cause my pin to get bent, 5 dollar reg seat destroys a 45 dollar piston, 50 dollars later, my reg seat fails again in about 8 months

Mine is only a 3000 psi flatline, but it has been flawless
the only problems Ive had were cracked gauges, which had nothing to do with the reg and everything to do with the person I loaned it to :mad:

I have had a few flatlines 4500 over the years. I have never had any issues. Run them around 1100psi.

First of all if you try to push the regulator seat on by hand your going to fail I know I did it. I figured out to take the two halves of the regulator apart put your piston in but not sticking out the top and the reg seat where it needs to go. Then put the regulator back together and use the velocity screw to push the regulator piston past the seat. After that you need to move the velocity screw in and out to assure that the seat sits correctly. I love my 4500 flatline air system and it just needed a rebuild after 4 years of use.
