I am getting in to useing my Z grip but I do not like the regular ASA on it. It gets in the may of my hand.

I have seen some non standard 45degree type ASA mounted on Z Grips and heard that that helps.

If you have experience with this I have 3 questions

1. Is it more comfortable?

2. What type of ASA do you like best?

3. Do you know where I can get one?

You mean drops for the them? I had the same problem when I first got my Z, so I did some searching as well. Endo made some nice drops (which is the one I am using now) that angled the tank to run it parallel with the frame, Luke has an offset rail that is right up your alley (had one of those too, before I found the Endo), ANS I think makes a small 15* that tilts your tank up. You could also go with a drop that moves the ASA out of your wrist area.

When I first got my Z frame, the ASA really annoyed me, because it would end up pushing against my wrist. I bought the offset one, and the problem went away immediately, at the cost of making it extremely awkward to switch hands. The Endo cradle solved both for me, as it removes anything that can block my wrist, and allows me to switch hands if I want to, plus it lets me bring the gun right up close, so that I'm more compact. Here's a shot of my gun with the Endo, and one with the offset.

I wish I had a photo of it, but the best ASA for the Z-grip was an old VL gizmo, that allowed you to rotate to either side 0, 45, or 90 degrees.

Im sure some old skooler has one lying around here...
