"Full Auto" Micromag

Alright... I decided to give the mags another try, and picked up a micromag a few weeks ago. Like the first mag I bought, it went from somewhat working to non-functional with relatively little intervention on my part, and I've no idea why.

It airs up fine, no leaks, but when the trigger is pulled, it goes "full auto" or leaks huge amounts of air down the barrel depending on what position the trigger is held at. I'm stumped. All the orings look fine, the trigger rod is adjusted so there is a sliver of a gap between it and the trigger. I suspected the sear might be worn but it looks like it should still work fine. Any ideas?

edit- finally got it back to how it was before. The trigger just doesn't seem to return all the way unless you make a concious effort to make trigger pulls as quick and crisp as possible. Otherwise, it only seem to partially reset.

I would pull out the on/off at the bottom of the valve to see if anything's not right there. someone else on AO was having a similar issue not that long ago and the on.off was the culprit.

Hmm, my newest micro has this prob too sorta, all stock standard parts (+lvl10), goes full auto if i pull the trigger n hold it, can one shot if i pull slightly. Don't have any leaks tho.

Ill check the on/off again butt pretty sure its in good shape.

Watch the TK videos. You'll stop messing up your mags then.

Seriously. Watch them. The reason that we can instantly diagnose what's wrong with your mag is because we watched the videos.

yea figured it out:) check yer pin, the notched end should be at the bottom in the on/off,

tho i find it rather interesting that the mag goes full auto with it flipped, without needing to sweetspot (held the trigger all the way down), and i didnt notice any drop off even when holdin the trigger for a lil while. Only real prob i have with it is that u sorta need to sweet spot for single shots:D

What kind of on/off are you using, standard or ULT? Thinking I may try this at Global Conquest... they allow full auto without fire rate limits. In fact, they even rent out e-trigger tippmann 98s.

I used a stock classic on/off, flip the pin so that the notch is at the top, n with 800+ psi u should be able to get full auto, ive gotten it to go on 2 valves so far, usin 850 psi.

You have a 'seat of your pants' feel for how many bps it shoots? I already have an adjustable reg on the way that I was going to use for a sweetspotting mod, but this may just be easier. This is a stock classic on/off, as in, no r/t, right? Hrm, know if it would work with an X-valve in an RT ULE body?

hmm, ive no idea if a classic on/off would work in an rt/x valve, and sold all my rt's so cant test it.

as for the bps, ill have to check tomo, so far ive only dry fired so dont even know if the fps stays constant during full auto (sounds like it does but might not)

and yea completely stock classic valve, no r/t parts at all

Oh, well that could be even better... I have an all stock classic back home with my parents. It would be fun to do a simple mod next time I'm over there. Although, without anti-chop, it may just create a paint blender.
