Although im only 15...i still have to pay taxes, it seems my college savings account earns more interest yearly then the gov. allows tax free. I had to pay 340 bucks in taxes last year on interest on my STUPID college account...luckily my parents paid it for me.

hey at least your parents are paying for your college and if you have to pay $340 in taxes on interest that means what? You made $1400 in interest? Jeez how much money did they give you?

taxes should take that long... once i had my w-2 in hand i had mine done in 15 min... including online filing... and downloadin the free programs off the net....

so it cost me 8 bucks to file my fed... if i had bought a fed tax program (ie turbo tax) that would have cost me 20 +file 10 then wait for the 10 to come back as a rebate... now all i'm waitin on is the refund checks to show up at my door

Ya'll must have the simplest taxes in the world if it only takes you 15 minutes. I use TurboTax, its very intuitive, and it still takes me about 2 or 3 hours when its all said and done.

Throwing 2 houses, IRA's and tax exemptions for school into the mix tends to make for a lot of beer and tequila chasers.

I cry every year when I realize how much I give uncle sam and how much I get in return.....oh wait, I am a government employee, forget about that last part :D

I don't like paying taxes when the govt decides to spend more then they collect. If I used my credit card like that I'd be bankrupt. Anyone feel like sending me money to pay the interest on my card while I go run up some more debt?

our government refuses to admit that they live in the same financial world that we have to.

they get away with it because the average american is as iresponsible with their money as the government.
