How is the performance of the Smartparts Teardrop barrel for the automag? I'm thinking about getting that, or a Dye Stainless steel...which performs better on automags in your opinion? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a ss on my mag when I had it and the only drawback with it is that it is heavy. You should just save your money and get a freak though. It will be a much better investment.

it cleans it self out good. The biggest draw back is they don't make them in tight bores to my knowlage.

I have tried the stock E-Mag barrel, a 10" Armson Stealth, a 12" Aluminum Lapco Bigshot, a 12" Dye Stainless Steel Barrel, an 18" Dye Boomstick, a 12" Smartparts All American, and the stock barrels of the Automag and the MiniMag, the best compromise between all their pros and cons is my 14" Smartparts Teardrop.

It's quiet, can deal with most ball sizes and is fairly consistent. Only thing is it uses a bit more air.

It is definitely worth it, especially for the price. :)

TearDrop doesn't sound bad. Especially the new ones, it would be good.

Although, you know you want the Dye Stainless....

Thankyou for the help, i'm still not totally sure, because the ss is heavy, and I kinda need a heavy barrel to balance my gun out better. But that teardrop is just too tempting.

I say go with the DYE SS, I think the heavier barrel makes your gun feel more solid and balance better... but thats my opinion
