Thanks go out to

Luke for the warp mount
vf-xx for the warp in parts that I made into a working feed system
Radio shack for the On off and LED
AGD for missing parts and making the warp

No I don't have a Warp body this is a test run to see if I like the Warp set up. So far just doing one hopper full of paint at home I think Ill enjoy it.

Maybe after a Warp Body it will be MOTM worthy?

Looks nice.... Love the flames on that revvy. :headbang: You know you need to modify the rail for a warp body right? A small groove has to be cut to clear the feedneck on those bodies. So if you don't want to mess up this rail you should also look for a rail that allready has been milled. I think KC might have a few for sale...

I loved the warp when i first used it, but due to weight and the extra headshots i went back to vert feed. Also the switch on the warp can be a pain, because during play you sometimes flick it, turning the warp off. I have a warp with the exact same mod done to it, and it had the lever cut for that exact same reason when i got it. But still i managed to accidentally turn the warp off so in the end i covered it with ducktape.

good to see it up and running.

Play with it a bit, if you decide you want to go warp body, maybe I can hook you up again. ;)

Looks great, I have a similar setup.

Only thing that I notice while playing is that I constantly shut the warp off mid game.

It was like:

Thanks for the comments. I have thought about hiting the switch off, So ill bring a pair of pliers to the field so I can jut it off If i need too.

I turned the 90* adp so the hose now comes from the back of the gun. Looks much better I think.

I am aware of the groove that will need to be put in my Nicely anoed rail... another reason I didn't get a warp body before I'm 100% sure I like it, and I might just keep it this way so if I need I can always pull the hopper off and sticking back on top while on the field mid game.

yeah so many people destroy pristine rails like that with warp cuts, its so stupid imho. For AGD history sake I say don't do it, get a dirt cheap rail to do that on.

But it is your property, so do whatever you want :D

Question too.

For a 12v mod, I use 3 9v leads and have the 2 in series? and one reversed to connect to the existing 9v lead?

- Three 9v connectors (radio shack $5 for 5)
- Heat shrink (radio shack or just use electrical tape)
- solder iron (maybe but if your don't know how to then just skip this)

Cut the heat shrink into two 1 1/2" pieces. Slip the 1 1/2" heat shrinks on one of the connectors. wire up the the connectors like so\/ making sure that the top one has the heat shrink on it.

Solder the connections together. Slip the heat shrink over the newly solder connections. Use your soldering iron and heat up the heat shrink so it gets smaller. DONE!

The other way to do this is just twist the wires together and tape them up but this is the cheap and easy way and most of the time it will come undone.

I think there should be a regulator in there somewhere. Last I remember some warp boards could take 18 and some can't.

It will only be 18v if the batteries are wired in series. The diagram shown will wire them in parallel producing 9v at double the amperage netting 1-2bps on the warp. This is called the "big cell" mod.

PTP sells the 12v mod harness here (http://www.proteamdirect.com/bwarp12adapter.html) (when they have them in stock :().

get me a bread board and a few resistors and you can make one just like they are selling.

no need for a bread board. you only need one resistor. I dont remember which one it is, but it is listed somewhere on AO.

luke at www.lukescustoms.com makes them for a few bucks.

You need a 12 reg in there. 18v WILL fry your board. I also find that if you do not put a capacitor in there, the vide sensor gets all weird and runs for no reason. Something about 'signal noise'. Plus, a cap will increase your battery life somewhat.

I'm not using the vibe sensor. got it wired into my solenoid

You mean you have the cable plugged into the board? It will still give you some interference.

Don't have an e-mag board so I did like you do for the angle warp mod and taped it into the solenoid leads.

Since you're already running a wire for the Intellifeed, you could always just tap some power off of the emag battery. I did that when I was running an Emag way back.

Hrm. I wonder if I still have that harness lying around.

Ah you have a Morlock board. I think they have a port in the harness for an accessory such as the warp feed, but its been so damn long I dont remember what pugs they are.

Those Morlocks (and Predator Morlocks) make emags :shooting:

Yeah it is a predator Morlock. and I did see that some of the ports pugs are unused but I don't know enough about it yet. so I just taped onto the solenoid lead and it works great!

if you drew from the e-mag battery you would still need some voltage regulation for the warp. and the draw from the warp wouldn't be much that it would drain your e-mag battery pack too much... that would be nice not having 4 9v's (2 for revie 2 for warp) and the e-mag battery pack.

Right, I put a regulator in the battery compartment of the warp. I wanted to run my revvy off of it too, but I never could figure out a good way to hook up the wires. Soldering to boards scares me.

Probably. I will point out that there are much better connectors than 9V snaps. Hit up a RC store.

Very true. even a Radio shag shack will have some thing better.

To the people who accidentally turn their warps off during a game... your switch was installed in the wrong place! I sent my warp to Luke and he put in a switch near the hole where the hopper feedneck goes. It is facing the gun and there is no chance I will accidentally bump it. The only issue with its location would be if I set it up for a left-handed player; it might get bumped.

As for playing with a warp, I enjoy it immensely. If it were up to me every gun would have the option to be warped with nothing obstructing the view down the barrel.

I never looked into it, but I can probably set them up for a lefty. I would need to know ahead of time though because the machining is diffrent on the two halves of the case.

Instead of a toggle switch, maybe a slider would be better and not turn off as much?

As for my opinion on warps...

I've been meaning to do the on/off and led mod but haven't gotten around to it yet... Can someone paint me up a diagram of the switch and led mod?

IIRC the regulation system for running the warp off the emag battery was called the "X-power module". I don't see how it would be hard to make if you are electrically adept, though.

Me? I can solder... that's about it. I wired a Intelli-switch to my RT Pro. I have a 12V harness but I never use it, too much power draw and I never shoot that fast anyway.

I might try the big-cell though, any advantages besides longer battery life? Is it more effecient or something?

What I really want to try to do is get a contact board for the 9Vs so I don't have to use the battery clips, just shove batteries in and slide the door closed...

I saw some where you can take the contact board out of a revy and retro fit it into the warp...

I was a bit curious as to what the reason was for the last pic of your warp that shows no drive band?
