All right everone give me some ideas here. I am looking to purchase another barrel for my automag RT. I have the stock twistlock 11inch barrel. I want something better. I have one of Doc's barrel adaptors. So i am now looking at cocker threaded barrels.

As far as twistlocks go, you can find freak backs as well as dye barrels. I have never used a barrel adapter so I don't know if there are any performance drawbacks. If you are set on using cocker barrels, I would consider a ULE body.

There are plenty of mag-threaded barrels out there to choose from. Granted, not many are still available new, but if you check the BST, you're bound to see a few.

Pardon me, but I can't resist discreetly tooting my own horn (http://automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=243683).

Cheers.

Doc's adapter works just fine. As for cocker barrels, it depends how much you can/want to spend and what your tastes are.

I personally like kits, and last I saw there were a few for sale here. (scepter, kaner, and freak IIRC)

I have a decent selection of twist lock left here: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=242305

I would suggest a dye aluminum if you shoot 689ish paint. I always had good luck with them on my classic. :shooting:

ULE on a Classic is not impossible, but not for everyone. ;)

I have never used a barrel adapter, but since it's just used to replace the breach, performance should be the same a using a ULE.

This is verry awesome. However I am not in the position to be able to do this.

I missed a twist lock aluminum autospirit. . .

Oh, and if you're looking for new (and are cool with brass), Palmers still does twist locks built to order.
