Do you know if anyone has ever put together an image gallery of all the different custom bodies, rails etc out there for mags?

I have a web space that I could host all the images in different categories like bodies, rails etc. I want to give back to the mag community.

This sounds like a really good idea.

Someone who is good with the intertron should make an application where you can place bodies/rails/etc... together to see how they'd look :headbang:

Yeah, I was thinking of putting something together but I need some good photographs of the different bodies and rails. Would be nice to have them photographed fairly consistently (e.g. from the sides directly rather than angle shots) so it was clear what they looked like.

I'll think about how I would put the site together and then solicit some shots from the community.

I may be able to help. I have a library with over 3000 Automag pictures. LMK where to upload it.

Nice, once I have something setup I'll let you know, trying to figure out the basic setup of it for now :)

Started plugging away at this tonight, if you have any suggestions let me know. For right now I'm thinking 4 categories - full marker photographs, rails, bodies and frames.

Let people post pics, descriptions, name of the item (e.g. Karta Body), manufacturer with or without a link and let others post comments below the pictures.

Have a searchable database of all fields or a gallery by category.

Think that will be enough.. I don't want it to be anything TOO crazy :) It's just been hard for me coming back and figuring out what is what - I think it will be helpful to have something like this.

Not a bad idea, if you need any pics let me know.. I've got a bunch of stuff..

Maybe a Valve section too?
Good luck getting a pic of the Ti Valve :D

I'm actually working on a comprehensive mag body and rail list, including items made by AGD I have 22 bodies and 27 rails with some info on ALL of them. I'm working on getting pictures for everything right now... :ninja:

Nice! Well, I am still working on this app - I think it will be useful to be able to do things like search by name, let people upload multiple pictures etc.. the search would be the nicest thing, I think.

I'll let you guys see it when I have the interface finished, hopefully the community can help by submitting pictures and info so we have a comprehensive database of parts.

OK, so this is REALLY REALLY early (can't stress that enough :p) and I'm still working on 99% of the features but for anyone that has a few pictures of mags and you can identify the main parts of it (body, rail, frame, trigger etc) if you'd like to help me out, go upload it, enter the information appropriately.

I'm adding functions to the site to allow uploads of pictures of just bodies, rails, triggers etc but for now, it's fully assembled guns only.

Adding images to the site will help me with coding and layout since I will have a lot more images to play with.

Anyway,

http://magmuseum.digitalgunfire.com

Just click 'Upload Image' and fill in the blanks - that's it! I'll update this thread once some actual functionality is available. Thanks to anyone that helps!

Hmm, Shirow I think your website would be a much smoother and simplified way to present the data that I've collected. I won't be able to help you with pictures but I can give you at least some info on most mag bodies and rails out there, lemme know if you're interested!

Sure, any information you have that would help in building an accurate database, I'd love to have. You can send it to [email protected]
