2 years in the development, tool acquisition, Parts acquisition,
picking the brain of T2 on the UMS forum
(his brain is kinda fragile after dealing with us forum nut bars for X number years)
then suddenly:
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u215/LK-13/Paintball%20Guns/MagRiflebuild1BOTHSIDES.jpg
and she is not 100% yet, but it's still eye candy.
stats:
1) Tac-Driver Flat Oval Target Stock in 2 tone Brown Laminate

2) Classic AutoMag Body/Rail Exact Valve to be determined

3) 12" Stainless Steel Barrel Turned to fit Shroud I.D.

4) 22" X 1.125" O.D. barrel shroud

she makes a nice deep thump when shot.

the trigger group has not been installed as yet and neither has the gas supply.

Just a quick note. Keep in mind that any other valve is going to be longer than the classic you have installed.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, especially the stock after sanding and staining.

Looking good! What is the shroud made from?

I'm interested in what you do with the trigger guard. That's a tough spot to make well.

no kidding.
i know when I'm going with a swing trigger or making a Pneumag type set up I'm going with
real steel bottom metal/triggerguards from Williams Firearms Co.
Actually wanted to use the 2 parts,
Model 70 Triggerguard / Floorplate & Hinge in the links below on this build,
but because of needing more documents to cross the border I'm kinda being crunched for time.
Wont have my "Enhanced Driver's License" till some time next week.
I want to show her off at the "Black Reign" event in Wasaga Beach on Saturday Aug. 15.

I have both plate Brass and Aluminum to make the bottom plate/triggerguard,
just not 100% on design as yet, kind of sketching things out as I nose through the forums.

The triggerplate isn't too bad if you have some experience / know some one with machining experience since you don't have to play with too many springs/etc you only have to concern yourself with the seer leg.

Looks great.

Awesome start. :headbang:

Are you going to dish the stock to make some mask clearance?

Up Dated Stats:
1) Tac-Driver Flat Oval Target Stock in 2 tone Brown Laminate

2) Classic AutoMag Body/Rail (Exact Valve to be determined)

3) 12" Stainless Steel Barrel Turned to fit Shroud I.D.

4) 22" X 1.125" O.D. barrel shroud

5) Barrel is now free floating

6) Swing Trigger w/ Brass Hinge Block and Trigger Arm

Awesome start. :headbang:

No, I'm thinking a Raised Ghost Ring seated behind the valve. (that is what the flat area is for)
It will be removable/adjustable front to back.

but even right now sighting down the barrel, to get past the RH feed your head is up right enough that a mask is no issue.
oddly enough, if you pull the butt firm into your bicep the whole gun becomes an extension of your forearm and really maneuverable.
I would never have guessed that for a gun this long, but there you are.
I guess it's something you have to feel to appreciate.

Just a quick note. Keep in mind that any other valve is going to be longer than the classic you have installed.
not worried, there is close to an inch and a half behind the valve to play with.

That stock is gorgeous!

and she still needs lots of TLC.
(carving, sanding, oiling, polishing, chrono check, hopper load test, pry it out of my hands maneuver in order to sell her)

Still waiting for that Slurpee refill.

Got that garage cleaned out yet? :p

your going to love the trigger set up.
but can't make up my mind if i want to use the brass hinge block
or the delrin trigger block.

brass is a hinge trigger.
delrin is a slide trigger.

That is so nice looking.

Are you going to go with a stick feed, or longbow type feed to retain the smooth look of it?

"Canadian Tire" is a huge department store, huge to the point of being Walmarts major Canadian competition.
http://www.canadiantire.ca/home.jsp?site=WebStore
if you pay cash when you purchase something, you get 5% of your purchase price back in "Canadian Tire Money" which are stylized vouchers that look like real monetary notes.
you can use it just like real cash, but only at Canadian Tire stores.
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u215/LK-13/Funny%20Stuff/canadian-tire-money.jpg
it's been a running gag for years to see just how many of you yanks we can make believe that it's real Canadian cash.

"see the guy there in the Balmoral Cap; that's our king...."

but in this case there is an inside joke.
and you have to be part of the JTF7 to get it.

Another thing about Canuck skin money is the quality of paper and ink used, I've never really seen any totally worn out.
I used to go to the old Wassaga field at the water tower for the big games but I've not been to the new field since it opened, man I haven't seen Steve (owner) in years.

Very nice work, I assume you're going to run a remote line to the valve once it's all finished.

It must take a very special person to buy that joke!
