View Full Version : Star Framed EgoMag?

Just a quick question, has this been done? I notice alot of people building EgoMags end up using the 05/06 frames. I understand the star frames for 07/08 etc wont work, but the Etek frames seem like they would fit. Has it been done and I just missed it, or is it somthing that wont work due to size constraints or some other reason?

Looks like it would just require some milling to get the top of the frame flat...

They will work. I've actually been planning to do this as well for a long while now... so many projects to tackle!

The Etek star frames are flat, just like the 05/06 models. I guess its just somthing noone has tackled yet.

Well the triggers are nicer than spyders for the most part, other than that the ego is an electropneumatic frame, the spyder is a sear tripper.

Hmm...This ego frame went for what $200 new and pretty much can't find them anymore unless you get lucky or a spyder e-frame for $50 which has 30 different listing on e-bay

I been wanting to cross pollinate and would rather have the ego but can't look away from the spyder. I think I'll have to do some more soul searching and reading on the subject.
