So I've had mags the entire time I've played paintball and Im about to make the step up from Co2. Co2 has just been easy since ive have like 20 tanks and a fill station plus all my buddies use co2 and ive had it since before nitro was popular. I have an Xvalve and a few retro valves but havent been able to get the best reponse from the generic hpa tanks I have. The regs on the tanks are about mid pressure and the best results have come from the flatline i have but the tank is too small and heavy.

I want to buy about 3 68/4500 fiber tanks w/out regs and Im wondering whats the best adjustable regs for the biggest bang for the buck. Im looking for a screw-in reg (non-mounted) and the ones Ive been looking over are the nitroduck i-reg with the different pistons for output pressure but I also really like the ninja reg where its just shims to change not springs or pistons.

What works best for you?

Do I really even want adjustable or should I just stick with a set output of like 850-1000psi

I have the nitro duck and it works fine as long as I use the 1000 PSI Piston.

I have the Ninja as well and I got them shimmed by ninja to give me 900+ and that workd well.

My exp has been that my mags seem to like 900+ to work well

My 2 favorite bottles have Red Crossfires on them , about 850 output on them , but I usually shoot slow

you could overshim a ult, or if you have an emag on/off assembly that could work too.

While these aren't screw in tanks per se. They are 2 piece regs. This means that you can mount the front half of the reg to the gun, and if you have multiple reg backs, you can unscrew your tank and swap out sizes.

Ditto. I have two red crossfires that I love. My RT doesn't seem to be anymore reactive with my maxflo set at 950 then it is with my 850 crossfires, and screw in regs are so much more convenient.

How much are dynaflows worth? There is one at the field & has been there a LONG time.

Red Crossfire gets my vote. That's all I have used for as long as I knew any better.

My Crossfire 850psi output got good results on my automag, and when that went bad (lp disc blew, never sent it in for servicing) I got a Ninja and left it at 850.

Seems as good if not better. If you are planning to run over 850 then I'd recommend it.

after looking and looking and comparing prices i think im down to just buyin a couple ninja air systems and footing a couple extra bucks for quality equipment. couple of things i really like about them: made in america, all black, screw-in adjustable, easy self service and over a good price. i was thinkin about just buyin some random tanks and a couple of regs to attache but i think ill be happier with the complete deal. i did find some good prices on just generic tanks 68/45 on ebay for like 75 a peice but after shipping for the regs and tanks and everything i think ill like the ninja setups, plus theyre not that much more expensive. theyve been making tanks and regs for years just for other people so they make quality products.

thanks for the help

Now the question is 68 or 90 cu in
maybe one of each

Well, my 68/45 gets me just over 1000 shots, if you shoot more than that I'd get the 90...

If you shoot 4-5 hoppers in one game your loco.

yea im looking to get a ule pro and possibly down the road an emag but for right now im just looking to get the classic rt and a ule.

i also have a shoebox shocker turbo and a pneumag plus several other classic mags and a rt micromag
none of which ive gotten very good results because of the lack of a reliable air source

magitis stricks again. :tard:

i usually shoot more than a thousand on any given time i play because i dont get to play that much but when i can get all my buddies together we usually play from about noon till we loose the light.

we never play tourneys - only rec ball but i tend to push any collection to the max

i figure if i actually run through a 68 and a 90 then i can just pull out one of the many co2 friendly markers i own and just roll the rest of the day with that still utalizing the many co2 tanks and fill station i have.

Crossfire, CP, and Ninja are all great tanks/regs.
