Those of you who know me know that I am a whore for all things MicroMag. I've owned most of the factory anno patterns at one time or another. I've owned most of the generations of Micros. My only electronic marker is an E-Micro. It's a sickness really.

A while back I made a really nice mag sidearm. It was elegant, simple, and just didn't make me happy at all. Something about the feel was off, and I ended up selling it at a price that pretty much only covered the cost of my materials.

Then I got an evil thought... Maybe I just needed my sidearm to be a MicroMag... So I started getting parts together.

10 round spring fed clip,

5 inch Hammerhead Shark tooth barrel with fin kits for large bore and small bore paint,

sidesaddle bucket changer for the 12 grams,

and dragonwood 45 grips round it out.

I'm really looking for a Benchy single trigger frame for it, but for now, the double does ok. I cut off the centerfeed, milled a continuation of the sight rail into the parts of the top of the gun where the centerfeed used to be, and modded the magazine to mate to the top of the marker. It's all finished off with a nice dust duracoat finsh to cover up a lot of the field-dings that were on the original piece.

Hopefully this one can keep me happy.

NICE!

I&I Sports has benchmark single trigger frames for $20 (but then they rape you on shipping) but they only have chrome. I just picked one up from them for a pistol project I'm doing

Yeah, I saw those I&I ones. I have a chrome single at home, but it just doesn't look right. This one needs to be all "tactical" I think. :ninja:

I'll find one eventually. It will give me an excuse to take more pictures then. :D

Looks great but it does need a single trigger.

That thing looks sweet :headbang: .. But would look a lot better with a single trigger frame, I have to agree^^^^^..

It does look great , I really like how the milling on the valve , sidesaddle & barrel all match
How do you prep aluminum for duracoat ? does it hold up well ?

Is that an ariakon/overlord springfeed?

Looks great!

I was scared when I read the title because I have been working on a micromag pistol project also. Thankfully they will be different :ninja:

Wow, that's beautifull!!! The only thing I would change would be getting a single trigger frame for it (more pistol-ish, if you know what I mean).

Now, does the spring feed goes straight onto the 12mm sight rail or did you have to adapt it?

Are there any single trigger gun FX frames still at Pro Team?

That is an Arikon spring feed. I had to mod the feed for it to go onto the rail, but it was more a matter of taking things off than it was a matter of milling some sort of reverse obtuse angle. There are stops built into the bottom of the feed to secure it to the Arikon pistol that had to come off.

I believe that PTP does still have frames, but I'd like to get one for less than $45.00.

To prep aluminum for duracoat, you lightly rough up the surface with a scotch pad, then de-grease, dry, and spray right away. Oxidation is your enemy. I had heard from a friend, that submerging your pieces in bleach and drying them off just before spraying was a sure fire way to get a good coat. I've tried it both ways. Both ways seem to wear very well. Much tougher than your average powdercoat.

FWIW, my mag is cerakoted and it has been holding up pretty well also.

That is very nice looking. :)

. . . and I like to help. :)

I've got a dust black single trigger Benchmark frame in my parts box. Drop me a PM if you would like; I'll either make you a good deal to finish your pistol or if you've got an extra part in your box I could use we could work something out that way too.

I've seen a relatively simple adapter for the right feed models made for PT Jr. magazines. It was something that you could turn out with some files and a little bit of patience. I'll see if I can track down the guy who had it made and get a picture.

What kind of stock is that?

What kind of stock is that?

AGD Micro CA-II stock... It's a slightly adjustable length 12g lever changer.

Much more solid than most lever changers, and more user friendly, plus it's got a built in check valve so if you can tell your 12ie is going it'll hold enough air in for you to eject, and pop off a good 2-5 (on a Phantom at least) shots while you're slapping in a new cartridge. Kinda hard to come by these days, though not as bad as a 6-Pak.

If you're in the market for one, PM me.
