Which parts kit do I get?

I have an old rt-pro with the stainless steel valve. I think its time to replace the o-rings.
I was looking at the parts included in the kits, and since I have the level 10 bolt, the x-valve kit would work better for me. Are there any problems with using this kit for my rt-pro?

When I have the whole valve apart can I rinse it out with water without causing problems?

Thanks.Yes, that is the reg seat holder. Why would you need one of those? Did you lose yours? They never go bad unless you physically take a hammer to it.

You can rinse the valve out with water, but water will not do much if it has a coating of oil, which it probably does. You would be better off just wiping the internals down with a non-shedding cloth.

That thread refers to the regulator seat orings for the classic valves. You were talking about a regulator seat holder for a retro valve. They are two totally different items for two totally different valves.

If you have a retro valve, you will be dealing with a nice round standard shape for an oring so you won't have to deal with replacing it whenever you take the valve apart.

You wont need to rinse out the valve. And DONT rinse out the regulator (the back part) as it has special grease for the threads.

All you would need to do if wipe off any dirt on any orings, and re lube. ;)

The part you would want to clean often is the bolt and bolt spring if you chop any paint.

The x-vavle kit works just fine, but the difference is that it doesnt come with a replacement bolt spring if you need one.

I already rinsed out the back half of the valve a while ago. What special grease was on it? It looked like anti-seize.

The spring pack is coated with grease to keep the springs from rusting. A good quality grease that will not gum up is all that is needed.
