Well, the time has finally come, after about 8 years of owning mags I have finally worked my way up the ladder to owning an Xmag!!

Now I have a decision to make, What barrel should I choose??

I am up to purchasing any barrel or kit out there, I already have:
Deadlywind CF 14"
J J edge dust black kit
Red CP barrel (comes with X)

I really like the look of the dust black UL in this pic from a previous owner. I will probably freak bore whatever barrel I get, so if its a 1 piece its not a big deal.

Show me what you have, and help me decide! :)

For that you need to get someone to attempt to anno match it , whatever barrel you get

Anno match is a must. I think a Phat barrel like this one would look really nice. I have this exact barrel on my RT Pro. It looks good, and performs well, but you should definitely anno it to match.

Who are some of the best places for anno matching?? The original anno was done by A+.

I actually like the black barrel. I think it complements the valve and trigger (and other gloss black accessories)

Ano matching is going to be really tough, especially for acid washes where you're essentially bathing the parts in two different colored dyes.

So I vote for gloss black! :)
I personally like most barrels that have a flared->tapered end as opposed to the Dye barrels or other barrels which have the same OD along the length of the barrel.
As for freak inserts, a WWA barrel would look great on there but good luck finding one.

If you don't mind not using freak inserts, I think the Empire Revolver kit would look really nice too!

You already have the best barrel, performance wise in the Deadlywind Fibur, anything else you get will be just for cosmetics.

^ actually I feel that I personally get better accuracy out of my J and J kit than my DW barrel. I use the DW for speedball, but switch to the JJ for woodsball where I am firing longer distances.

Thanks Twilight, actually you can freak bore just about any barrel if you can find the right shop, so that is my plan if needed.

That Hustle would look great paired with an IT body.

I vote for a gloss black as well, but if you must match, go back to the place that did the original.

i think a black barrel is better for this gun. Due to the black in the anno and black parts on the gun. It suites the gun nicely

Just get barrel front anno'd and keep the back black. That would cost less and look sweet.

Or the other way around.

Getting it match annoed to that particular anno may prove difficult. Even same color is hard at times, since something as simple as the type of aluminum used can give you different shades.

I would go with black or if you have some accent, a red tip.

I was kind of thinking black back, red front. not sure to go dust or gloss, I am kind of partial to dust, because this will actually be used in the woods most of the time.

I will have to go with gloss black. Looks good on anything. Have you looked into the Lapco Snapshot? A bit pricy, but well worth it.

Well it took some work (since it had already sold) and took a little bit more money than expected (since I had to bribe it out of the new owners hands) but I got a matching barrel tip!

It may not be a perfect match once I get it in, but its about as close as I am going to get it!
