this was a tough choice this month. Not as easy as my oldschool vote, but mspd you got a unique mag there.

Thanks for seeing and saying it. Took me over a year to get it done with all it's custom parts. It has a one of one milled and bored barrel, one of one eletro modded UMF, one of one milled foregrip, one of one ano and believe it, the body and rail are pump milled LOL.

I'm sorry. I don't want to be a bad loser or something. I mean, kwood´s gun is nice. Looks good and has a good balance but something might be wrong here.

How can one compare a gun that anyone can build (RPG body, Dallara rail, DW cf grip and a new M-90 frame with a pneu mod) with something unique and rare that took a year and a half to be made, having several one off parts like the trigger, barrel, custom milled foregrip to fit with the UMF frame under an AM/MM lenghted rail and that ano, with it's custom mask on the valve?

I really don't get it. Last month I've entered another gun with a 1 of 7 first gen Chord body, full of other rare parts. This month it's this gun and I'm losing for something one can go to the BST forums and get it done in 5 minutes?

Now, look at Tbaggin's gun. What a beutifull custom gun! How can it be losing for that much of a difference?

To me, it looks like this contest is won by whomever gets more friends from outside the forum voting. To me, this contest is compromised. Sorry to say.

The voting is done by anyone who happens across the thread... It's not "who's marker took longer to build" or "who's marker shoots better" or "who's marker looks better" it's Mag of the Month. For whatever reason, more people chose to vote for Kwoods marker than chose to vote for your own. Maybe he "put together a collection of parts" but he put them together in a way that people responded to in a positive way and that's why people voted for his marker.

I've run across plenty of markers that are very "custom" or include "rare parts" that I don't vote for because I like something else better or don't like that marker at all. When the same marker is entered over and over without any changes, then it gets stale and other markers will get more votes. It's nothing personal, just preference. It's like saying you like a song by The Monkees more than one by The Beatles; sure The Beatles might be more accomplished and talented musicians and The Monkees might be generic off-the-shelf crap, but who's to dictate what people should or shouldn't like?

I have to disagree - I've no links to anyone else on this forum and voted for kwood's as in my opinion it was the best looking marker posted. I'm sorry but yours doesn't appeal to me as much. You might also be finding that your marker has been overexposed by being re-entered for the Motm contest. Tbaggin's would have been my 2nd choice, but I don't like the colour.

Thanks Ando and everyone else who voted for my gun. I really, really apreciate it.

As I said, I don't want to be seen as a "bad loser" or a loser in general. The most important thing, to me, is that I know how much effort and money I've put into this gun and it came out worthing it, just as I expected, even having to travel three times to the US to finally have it in my hands.

What I would like to propose (and I admit I may have been slow into it as I always say that just pointing to a problem is not a way to solve it and if something is annoying you, you should also have a solution for it) is that the votes should be open, meaning that the users should make a small post on the voting thread to have their vote counted. This way, we would see how many people are voting with less than 10 posts in their life or with a just opened account.

Anyways, that's only a suggestion, comming from someone who lead most of this poll and lost in the last hour by a very, very tiny margin. I admit I'm frustrated and I'm sorry if my statements sounded bad to anyone, specially for kwood. Congrats for your win and I also have to say that I preffer your wife's splashed mag than this one.

Dude don't sweat it. I always post on who and why I voted. It's just a popularity contest. I liked your mag the most but the fact is that black has a more universal appeal. I'll be posting up my own baby in a month or two when the anno gets done, and i hope you guys like it but all that matters is that I like it.

Btw what is the name of that blue? When I finally grab a chord body I want to do the same blue only glossed.

Gruntbull did the ano. I've asked him for a "mid blue", meaning not too dark nor too light. That's what he came out with in the end.

Hey man... people like what people like. I had a marker up for MOTM once that had parts from 3 countries, took a a year and a half to build (over which the marker itself travled to 4 states and 1 other country) and got beat by a stock tac-1 with a fantastic foregrip and a barrel shroud. However... just to be fair most xmags and sfl's are pretty stock and they've done well over custom in older MOTM votes. I guess that a lot of people like the m90. All it means is that next month when every marker up for MOTM has one it'll be easier to beat. Wait a few months and come back, you mag ROCKS and you'll get your place in the winner thread!

... In the end the only vote that matters is really on field. I'm sure it's turned a few heads there
