seller said L7 but its stop if i stick a folded in half and rolled dollar down the feedneck. what does the bolt face of a L7 vs L10 look like?

Well im pretty sure that lvl tens have a foamie bolt, and lvl7's aren't

well i know theres no foamie or place for one so i guess its a L7. it leaks pretty bad out the bolt face after a few shots unless the trigger is held down

If its a level 7 bolt you need a power tube oring , if its a level 10 you need to go to a smaller carrier, or replace the oring in the carrier if you are using the smallest carrier.

Hey everyone. Im the seller of said mag, and Im wondering what it is as well. Shot fine when it left, but obviously doesnt work now so Im wondering if I can just send an O-ring kit and thatll fix it or what?

Also, I do know that since the air cuts when you hold the trigger, that means that the On/Off is working properly.

Emo-I will PM you when we can figure out what it is. I have classes until 4.

from what i've read, it could be the powertube o-ring but i just want to verify and need to get ahold of some o-rings for it

If it's a lvl 7 you are correct. Quick Oring change and you should be rocking.

Also be sure to use oil.

Remove barrel.
3-5 drops of oil in the ASA.
20 shots.
Done.

NO.
Use Autolube or a good air tool oil. Do NOT use Hoppe's 9!

Unrelated. Your leak was forward of the on/off, in the powertube. You need to spend 9:41 minutes watching the Tom Kaye troubleshooting video or else you will always be guessing as to what is wrong. Watch it. You'll understand your mag.

ok watched the video, pulled up the diagram for the classic valve. had 1 powertube o-ring that the guy i bought the on/off from threw in. Replaced the powertube o-ring. shot some air, no leaks, seems to run fine

If your looking for some excellent oil. Try out TriFlow (w/Teflon). I been running it for about 3-5 years now and love it.

I use it on everything actually. Best stuff ever. ;) It is expensive but the stuff is worth it.

I have an RT here that is doing...err..was...doing the same thing.

Your leak is due to the carrier / powertube oring (in lvl7 or 10) not sealing against the bolt stem.
This causes the reg to just keep bleeding pressure through the bolt and not building up in the dump chamber.

If it were to be sealing right, eventually enough pressure would build up, the on/off pin would push out and the reg seat would close as pressure pre reg, and post reg has been equalized.

If the bolt stem doesn't seal, this will NOT happen.

The reason holding the trigger makes the leak stop is because that will seal off pressure from the reg (making no more air come out....seeming like you fixed the leak...) and there will be none left in the dump chamber and you will just keep any more air from entering the valve by holding the trigger.

FIX?

New powertube oring (lvl 7) or new carrier / oring (lvl 10)

**If a level 10 is in question, this can also be a shim leak rather than a carrier leak.

->In fact I have a lvl 7 here with the same problem because the bolt stem is barely in contact with the oring.

## Bottom line??
->>> New powertube oring.

Very good! Lube it with a dow33 derivative rather than just plain oil for lasting lubrication and you should be good to go :D

I would only use Autolube or a good quality air tool oil.

Yes, oil does have its time and place, and is recommended, but lubricant that is thicker than oil has its place as well. Its best use i have found is on regulator rings and the bolt stem.
