Anyone know what size the grip frame screws are that hold the grips on to a y-grip/intelli? I picked up some 6-32s at work figuring they were it but they are too big. Logically, I'm thinking 4-40 but I just want to be sure in case they are metric or some other weird thread. Thanks.

How many do you need?

I don't NEED any, I can get them easily from work because I work at a hardware store. I just want to know the right size so I can grab the right ones. But yea, flat head.

I thought agd frames were 8-32. 6-32 for emags. You might want to take your frame into work with you. I would be surprised if they were 4-40.

Say what? For what frame?

yeah 4-40 are really small, way to small for grip screws

I just compared the 6-32s I have to my 6-32 tap to be sure and they are the right size...my grip frame screws are definitely smaller than them as well...

To clarify, I'm not talking about the front grip screw or the bottom grip screws that hold the asa on. I'm talking about the ones that actually hold the grips onto the frame...grips as in dye grips/ hogue grips.

yeah i know the front frame screw is 10-32, as are the asa screws, but the grip screws are inded 8-32 i checked my y-frame and my 3 intellis. they are the same screws that also thread into the site rail holes on an rt or emag rail.

LOL this is nuts...the holes in my rail are 8-32 like you said..but the ones in my y-frame are definitely smaller....I'll have to take a pic so you guys don't think I'm crazy.

haha, it isn't modified because I bought it new from AGD with an rt pro years ago...and I can understand making a bigger hole but smaller?

Anyway this is the best I could do, the quality sucks because they are so small...

For reference, both screws are 3/8" long.

so the one on the right is the one that screws into your y-frame right now?
i dunno i know what mine are but it looks like you have something different...i dont know how that could be.

but you said you have a 6-32 tap right. just tap them holes out for the screws you bought.

Not really. My powerlyte frame uses 4-40 screws to hold the grips on.

I would but it is a broken tap...lol

Plus I'd rather just buy the screws to make it easier and not have to worry about re-tapping. I'm so confused how this is even possible....

to help my reputation on the subject a bit, I can now confirm that my frame takes 4-40 screws...very weird that you all have 8-32
