what is it made of? Is it aluminum? I've gone one that has been through several hands and has been milled to take standard valves but needs some of the old air passage holes filled and such. I'm just wondering if aluminum welding would do the job.

Once it's been welded would the new metal take anno?

or would it need to be powder coated?

I just contacted a local welding company and they said they'd have to look at it to see if it could be done. Their minimum charge is $25.00 so before i waste money on it just wondering what the finished product might come out like either anno wise or powdercoat wise.

yes its aluminum

if it was aluminum welded, it could be annoed, but it would likely look different than the rest of the rail
if you powdercoated it, it wouldnt be as noticeable, but then have to be careful with tolerances or it will have your mag acting all crazy

why not just use some nice stainless set screws to plug the holes, like it is originally?
I like the look of a classic rail personally

pictures always help.

I'm trying to fix this rail and convert it to become another pneumag when i get m m-90 in for my main mag.

don't ask me on the rail it came to me this way. The story i heard was something about the banjo bolt hole being warped and then it became this through lots of different peoples labor.

I want to get all the holes filled and then see if maybe i can have some of the dremel work on the back of the rail cleaned up.
