View Full Version : Anoing a Micro Mag body?
Thinking about getting a Gen2/3 MicroMag body I have anoed, but one thing makes me wonder. It seems like there is an insert in the part of the body where the valve fits in? I can't tell if it's steel or aluminum? Does it come out? Anyone know? Wondering if I might just be better off getting it powdercoated?

talk to tuna he has a tool
It is pressed in so you just need to press it out. Doing that without damaging it is going to be the difficult part. Good luck.
Think I will just go the powdercoat route than. Thanks for the info.

any idea if it can be masked off or plugged ?

That would require a good annodizer. Good luck with that, but in theory would work.

Yes it can be masked, almost any decent anodizer can do it. I've seen/had them done by A+, Kohn, GBA, and ODD.
There is absolutely no need to remove it.
By the way, your Micromag is a Gen2.
