Well finally got around to getting this thread up about these. Had these done for a while now, just haven't had the time to do a write up. Quite frankly put, I like how the milling turned out, but overall I'm not pleased with how they look with the Ripper Bodies. They just seem too fat and don't seem to fit the profile of the Ripper bodies. I had planned to do more manual work on them but I just don't have the time, and have already started designing the V3 ones :D I'll get it right one of these times lol

Keep your eyes out for two of these for sale in their unfinished form cheap, just want them out of my shelf space (also have one blem'd V1 rail still for sale). If you are interested in picking them up (it will be the bead blasted one and the one with the rough milling on the tail) please PM me about them, I really don't have time to get a detailed sale up on them, I assure you'll get a good deal on both since they're unfinished.

But onto the pics to show them off, first few are with one of the V1 rails, with the three finished V2 rails:

(From left to right, its the V1 polished, next is unfinished Final version V2, third up V2 rail with some goofing around milling on the back, and last on the right is a bead blasted V2 rail that I messed with the tail a bit differently then the other ones)

What do you guys think of these?

I did fix the misalignments on the rip and ridge transfer between body and rails on these and also added a little bit of bottom milling that transfered from the side ridges.

For the V3 rails, I plan to change the thickness on the front part back to that of the V1's, I think it flows better. Also am going to put the chamfer's back on the rails on the bottom instead of the fillets, but I will be adding rips to the bottom side as well as alter the side rips a bit more. Also the back half will get re-worked even more, its going to be a drastic point when I'm done. And still have to figure out what I want to do on the front still.

Very nice work and a pretty interesting look to them. Makes me wish i knew what to do with a mill.

Thanks guys, it means a lot to hear that. Well if the two unfinished ones on the right from the first pics don't sell maybe I'll have a little time to finish them up this summer or maybe even within the next week if I have time at school...who knows. And if they do sell, heck I'll still have one of the V2's to finish up to my high standards for quality, so it'll be interesting.

But now I'm all giddy again for designing the V3's, thinking of all the possibilities. I really want to do something that encorporates the Ripper look on both the front and the tail sections better instead of just the sides and a little of the bottom. I want this rail to be a true "Ripper" rail, not just a rail with some ripper milling on it.

Hey if anyone is interested in picking one of these up and finishing it themselves, for $65 shipped you can take one of the extras home.

My personal progress on these has come to a stand still without it looking like I'll be able to finish them up anytime this summer.

I'm interested in the blasted V2 on the far right since the V3 may be awhile coming. Is the internal milling complete? Please PM me.
