My 11yr old's school has an "Arts Day" where they share their Family Heritage and for those with talent, performances.

I'm the Piper, my 13yr old is on the right and her GF from school on the left side as they are standing there on stage [Emily]. This is one of 3 Highland Dances they/we do:

I've always loved the dance but I never noticed how much the dancers had to stay on their toes, talk about muscle failure to the calves.

LOL, yeah. As she was learning [began in January], she did nothing but complain how much her legs/calves hurt...lol.

The Sword Dance is as/or more "toe-intensive" as this Reel is.

absolutely fantastic, the dances are far from easy to do so no wonder they complained lol.
